Our menu, created by James Beard Award semifinalist chef Brian Jupiter, pays homage to the foods that those pioneers ate and hunted while on the road, and we urge you to taste the contemporary day renditions of their fare while you dine. The greatest way to appreciate our meals is in a group environment. To provide you with an outstanding eating experience that is well-paired and well-fueled, we've preserved the early pioneers' enjoyment of family meal gatherings. Our bar offers a diverse selection of domestic and regional craft beers, great wines from across the world, and house-crafted creative cocktails created with only the highest-quality ingredients available. In addition, our comprehensive liquor bar can please even the most ardent cocktail connoisseur. So go ahead and live a little! Foods that you might not have considered trying or those you haven't seen on a menu before. Even if it's only from the comfort of your barstool, reconnect with your pioneering heritage. Take a journey out to the Frontier with your companions! In ten years, there have been over 9,000 events, and the number is growing. Baker Community Center is a historic recreation and community facility operated by the St. Charles Park District in downtown St. Charles, Illinois. Dedicated on May 1, 1926, as a gift from Edward J. and Harriet Rockwell Baker in memory of their son and local World War I veterans, the 19,150-square-foot building has served the community for a century — hosting classes, performances, and private events across its auditorium stage, lounge, and multipurpose rooms. Rentable spaces accommodate groups from 35 to 150 guests, with tables, chairs, and setup included in every rental. The center offers a full kitchen, in-house sound system, and on-street parking. A $1 million accessibility renovation in 2017 updated floors, entryways, and amenities throughout the building. The center also partners with the Norris Cultural Arts Center to support a performance venue with current stage technology.

6300 S. Lake Shore Drive (E. Hayes Drive @ Lake Michigan) is the address for 63rd Street Beach in Jackson Park. This beach offers a wide range of amenities to visitors. Stop by Belly Up for delicious Jamaican cuisine, or Leave With a Smile for snacks and drinks. Restrooms, interactive water fountains, showers, and meeting rooms are all available to beachgoers at the historic beach house. It is possible to rent the beach house. In 1871, the renowned Central Park designers, Olmsted & Vaux, built Jackson Park, as well as the adjacent Midway Plaisance and Washington Park. By 1888, the region had a paved beach built of granite bricks that covered the whole lakefront in Jackson Park. Given that untreated sewage was being poured into Lake Michigan at the time, it's no surprise that the beaches were used as paved walkways for strolling or promenading rather than wading or bathing. When Chicago's ingenious Drainage Canal was completed in 1899 and began transporting sewage to other sites, the lakefront became a popular spot for public swimming. After receiving several requests from South Side residents for larger beaches at the turn of the century, the South Park Commissioners opted to expand the beach sand area. In 1914, they devised a new plan for the landfill, and three years later, the 10-acre beach extension was completed. By 1919, an elegant bathing pavilion had been built near to the beach as part of this concept. The bathing pavilion, now known as the 63rd Street Beach House, was renovated by the Chicago Park District in 2000. The 63rd Street Beach House is a beautiful Classical Revival structure. The remarkable structure was designed by South Park Commission in-house architects. The magnificent exposed-aggregate concrete building, completed in 1919, takes full advantage of Lake Michigan with its open balconies and loggias (ground-level open-air galleries), allowing for lovely lake vistas and nice breezes. Bathrooms and baths, medical facilities, and separate courtyards for men and women with hundreds of wooden changing booths were all given in the past. The open courtyards are now tastefully landscaped places with an interactive water element, rather than wooden booths (made possible by the Max Schiff Foundation).

At Smyth + The Loyalist, we approach everything we do with warmth, vitality, and craftsmanship, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. Our objective is to make your event a thoughtful, personalized experience from start to finish, whether you choose our private dining room or a buyout of Smyth or The Loyalist. Our private dining area, which is located on the lower floor, harmoniously integrates the personalities of the two restaurants to which it caters. With an exposed brick wall and distressed wood beams throughout, the area is reminiscent of a stylish yet homey urban loft. The old leather couch and forest-themed backdrop behind it provide warmth to the space, while the richly grained dark wood tables offer playfulness. With audio/visual capabilities, the tiny area is ideal for both celebrations and business events. The Loyalist Meets Smyth is a unique way to experience a private dinner that we have developed. This innovative family-style dining experience marries The Loyalist's French-inspired meals with Smyth's culinary vision to create an engaging, convivial evening of exceptional bites. The chefs carefully create each menu based on seasonality and frequently include delicacies not found at either restaurant. This one-of-a-kind, family-style experience may accommodate up to twenty people. The ocean's bounty is featured boldly and gently throughout the menu at Smyth, and innovation ebbs and flows from it. Our private dinner experience begins with a half-hour of canapés and beverages, followed by a ten-course seated tasting menu. A buyout of our light and airy main dining area can accommodate larger gatherings. This exclusive event will begin with a cocktail hour of passed canapés, followed by a seated tasting menu at our handcrafted wood tables.

Mount Hope Hilltop Venue is a historic barn wedding destination set on a scenic hilltop in Michael, Illinois. The property traces its roots to the Mount Hope Settlement, established before 1840 in Calhoun County. The centerpiece three-story barn was constructed around 1830 and rebuilt and expanded between 1860 and 1870, with its basement hand-excavated by removing 750 tons of dirt and original redwood timbers shipped in by steamboat from Hamburg. At its peak around 1900, the settlement included tenant houses, blacksmith shops, a sawmill, and more than 15,000 orchard trees. Today, the property combines that timeless architecture with a koi pond, apple orchard, and sweeping hilltop views. Event spaces include a rustic reception hall with soaring pitched ceilings and glowing chandeliers, a historic three-story ceremony barn with exposed beams and warm wood walls, multiple outdoor ceremony areas, and The Cellar Room — a screened-in space beneath the Red Barn featuring stone walls and a raw-edge wooden bar overlooking the pond. Mount Hope Hilltop Venue offers full-weekend access (Friday through Sunday) covering setup, rehearsal, and teardown, with packages that include day-of coordination, bartending, and serving. Lodging for up to 42 guests is available on-site across a cottage, cabin, lodge, and additional house.
