Springwood Manor is a renovated century-old stone estate set on wooded hills just outside Pittsburgh in Verona, Pennsylvania. The property began as a farmhouse built around 1870 and was later home to horticulturist Herbert Hoechstetter, whose landscaping business shaped the grounds and whose additions—a sandstone facade, cherry wood paneling, and a fireplace mantle built from an old barn's support beams—still define the house today. A three-year renovation transformed the property into the event venue it is now, framed by Japanese larch, maples, pin oak, chestnut, holly, copper beech, and bamboo. The Manor hosts indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies, receptions, and corporate events for up to 270 guests. Ceremony sites include Garden Square, with its pergola and separate entrances for the bridal party; the Stone Patio; the Gazebo nestled among the trees; and the Glass Atrium, used for winter ceremonies.
