Purchased by an Atlanta couple from the family estate after the youngest daughter Cara’s death in 1996, the home was a small bed and breakfast for some years. In 2007, Barb Shadomy purchased Stonehurst after discovering it while in England studying interior and garden design. For 17 months, Barb and her team of architects and contractors, specialists in historic and eco-friendly systems, renovated and restored the home and its gardens. The house meets standards set by the US National Park Service, the GA State Historic Preservation Office, Southface and EarthCraft House. Our historic property features beautiful indoor and outdoor locations for intimate ceremonies and receptions including our music room by the grand piano and fireplace or outside by the pavilion.

Originally constructed in 1905 as horse stables, the structure was later converted into the clubhouse for the golf course that once occupied the park. To honor its heritage, we’ve preserved the Stone Mountain granite walls, ivy-covered windows, and traditional wooden plank walls. Whether you're planning a classic, formal plated lunch or a more casual, mix-and-mingle event with interactive food stations, we offer the perfect menu to suit your occasion. The Piedmont Room, which was constructed in 1928, was originally used as the clubhouse for the golf course that was located inside Piedmont Park. It now serves as a venue for some of Atlanta's most famous events. The foyer's original Stone Mountain granite walls and ivy-covered windows have been preserved, but the main room has a contemporary vibe thanks to towering windows, dark bamboo hardwoods, and ceilings that are 15 feet or higher. Just north of Pershing Point lies Rhodes Hall, one of Atlanta's few historic mansions on Peachtree Street. Built in 1904, prior to the creation of Ansley Park, Rhodes Hall was created for one of Atlanta's wealthiest individuals by one of the city's most recognized young architects, Willis F. Denny II. It is a statewide landmark for both the quality and style of its architecture, which was built of Stone Mountain granite in the Romanesque Revival style. Rhodes Hall is available for a variety of events including wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, and holiday parties. Events at Rhodes Hall may utilize the front porch, the front lawn, and the first floor of the home. A maximum of 100 people can be seated throughout the first floor for a seated dinner, and the largest room can hold 40 people. The Tabernacle welcomes it's guests with six ornate red doors. The Tabernacle, a former church, has been transformed into a venue to enjoy music and host events with a stylish twist. This wonderful space is the prime location to host an array of events including corporate events, marketing conventions, and many others. The Tabernacle has a prime location, being only two blocks from the Georgia World Congress center and many other hotel brands. The Tabernacle can host 25 to 2,500 guests with the help of our talented staff, willing to help with all of the details that go into hosting the perfect event. The Tabernacle structure, which is located in the Centennial Olympic Park District of Downtown Atlanta, has a long and illustrious history. Dr. Leonard Gaston Broughton served as pastor and physician at the time of its founding in 1910 as The Broughton Tabernacle. Georgia Baptist Medical Center and Nursing School, which began as the Tabernacle infirmary with three beds, were established by Dr. Broughton in 1890. There were more than 4000 members of the Third Baptist Church, which was a thriving church. Following a congregational relocation in the mid-eighties, the building sat unoccupied until the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, when it was transformed into a House of Blues nightclub. A number of different owners operated a variety of various music venues in the building after the Olympics concluded in 1984. Live Nation is presently in charge of the Tabernacle's operations.
