Originally envisioned by renowned San Diego dress designer Amy Strong, construction began in 1909 and culminated in 1920 with a 12,000-square-foot, 27-room masterpiece that stands as a stunning embodiment of the American Craftsman Movement. Amy personally selected stones from the slopes of Mt. Woodson, and the home was built using eucalyptus, oak, and redwood harvested directly from the property.
