Toccoa Falls College sits on a wooded North Georgia campus whose namesake feature — a 186-foot freefall waterfall — has made it one of the region's most distinctive settings for weddings and private celebrations. The falls take their name from the Cherokee word *Toccoah*, meaning beautiful, and the college has welcomed events on its grounds since its founding in 1907. The property offers two complementary spaces for ceremonies and receptions. The Falls itself provides an open-air backdrop for ceremonies of 10 to 200 guests, with electrical service available near the water for AV and sound equipment. Founded in 1949 by the South Georgia Conference of the Methodist Church, the campus has grown into one of the most recognized Christian retreat and conference destinations in the United States, celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024. The roughly 1870 mansion is listed on the Georgia and National Registers of Historic Places and is on 2.89 acres near the crossroads of Chamblee-Dunwoody and Vermack Roads. The home and barn, which have been completely renovated with modern comfort and ADA accessibility in mind, are excellent for a wide range of special occasions. The main house seats 50-60 people and features many rooms that can be quickly converted into meeting rooms, including one large meeting room and several smaller breakout meeting sections. An arbor, a brick pavilion area, a flowing fountain immediately adjacent to the main house, and an open meadow are among the lovely outdoor places. Housed in a historic former textile factory in the heart of downtown Commerce, the Commerce Civic Center blends industrial heritage with modern event versatility. The building — originally home to the Blue Bell/Wrangler plant — was purchased by the city in 1988 and most recently underwent a complete renovation, reopening in January 2025 with updated spaces and a new outdoor courtyard available for rental. The center sits 60 miles north of Atlanta in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and offers five distinct event spaces spanning a range of sizes. The Harmony Grove Room on the upper level is the venue's largest, accommodating up to 750 guests with its factory-style windows, hardwood floors, wet bar, and access to a commercial kitchen. On the main level, the Commerce Room seats up to 100 guests and features hardwood floors and an in-house sound system with wireless microphones; the Cold Sassy Room holds up to 65 guests in a space defined by exposed brick walls; the Peach Room accommodates up to 40; and the Executive Board Room provides a table setting for up to 12. The Civic Center is available for weddings, receptions, banquets, business meetings, pageants, and private gatherings, with rental inquiries handled by the city's events staff.

THE NAME OF OUR COMPANY The name "Rockin' T Meadows" derives from our 70-foot-long front porch, which is furnished with "Rockin" chairs that allow you to relax and enjoy the beauty of cattle grazing and grass swaying in the breezes as you look out across the rolling "Meadows" and hay fields. The letter "T" is, of course, derived from the proprietors' last name, Thornton. ​LOCATION Atlanta, Macon, and the surrounding areas are all within a short drive of the Rockin' T Meadows farm. The farm is located in Milner, Georgia. John and Martha Thornton maintain a 160-acre family farm on which they raise their children. The original house on the property, which was erected in 1849, included a gambrel wooden barn, which we refurbished in order to host family gatherings and events. Unfortunately, in 2012, lightning struck the wooden barn, causing it to be completely demolished. During the summer of 2013, we constructed a new barn to accommodate our huge family and church gatherings. Many people have inquired as to whether or not we would consider hosting weddings. Our decision to commence building of our bridal and groom suites, as well as modifications to create our dance hall, was made after considerable deliberation in 2015. Since opening, we've continued to improve our facility by adding new features each season to make it something truly unique. The Rockin' T Meadows Wedding Package is an all-inclusive package that includes everything. Reserving the Rockin' T Meadows All-Inclusive Package means that you are booking your venue as well as all of your vendors at the same time. Included in the pricing are the venue, your flowers, cake, DJ, catering, officiant, wedding coordinator, liability insurance, linens, and your choice of three photographers.
