The Hill is a historic weddings and events venue set on a private property a few miles from downtown Athens, Georgia. The grounds feature four period-furnished homes that have been artfully preserved — the Hodgson Lumpkin House, the Donald-Epting House, the Rock House, and the Quinn Cottage — spanning architectural styles from the late 1700s through the early twentieth century. Each home offers its own character: the Donald-Epting House anchors the property with gardens, open fields, and an in-ground pool; the Rock House is a solid fieldstone cottage built in 1920; and the Quinn Cottage provides a large back porch overlooking the grounds. Together the homes create a self-contained retreat well suited for full wedding weekends, combining ceremony and reception space with on-site overnight accommodations. Epting Events, an award-winning catering and event design company, serves as the exclusive caterer for all events at The Hill.

Wesleyan College occupies a 200-acre wooded campus in north Macon, Georgia, on the National Register of Historic Places, built around a central quadrangle of Georgian Revival architecture that traces to 1928. Founded in 1836 as Georgia Female College, Wesleyan holds the distinction of being the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women — a history that gives the campus its particular character as a setting for celebrations. For private events, the college offers an unusually varied collection of spaces: Anderson Dining Hall seats up to 350 beneath a vaulted ceiling with large arched windows; the grand Porter Auditorium accommodates 1,124 for concerts, ceremonies, and theatrical productions; Oval Hall in the Candler Alumnae Building brings ornate moldings and parquet flooring to receptions and luncheons for up to 250; and Pierce Chapel, opened in 2015 on a knoll overlooking Foster Lake, seats approximately 300 for weddings and memorial services, with a lower-level reception area for around 70. Reunion Country Club is a full-service golf and event facility set on a championship par 72 course in Hoschton, Georgia, less than five miles from I-85. The Barn at Tatum Acres is a 75-acre farm venue tucked into the North Georgia mountains near Big Canoe, about an hour from downtown Atlanta. The property began as a family farm — Doug Tatum famously closed the deal on a napkin with a one-dollar bill — and was transformed into an event destination under the creative direction of interior designer Lynda Tatum, who designed the barn using timber harvested from the land itself. The centerpiece is a rustic-modern red barn with white trim, built from trees felled on the farm, that blends authenticity with a polished aesthetic. An adjacent covered stables structure, a hilltop cottage with screened porches and mountain views, and outdoor gathering areas including a fire pit, covered porch fireplace, and handmade stone smoker round out the property. With stunning arched windows and marble walls, the main event area is a sight to behold. A total of 150 guests may be accommodated at tables in the venue, which has lots of natural light and hardwood floors. A cocktail hour or a check-in area can be held in the lobby of the hotel. The Historic DeKalb Courthouse, which is located in Decatur, Georgia, only minutes away from Atlanta, is the ideal location for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, fund-raisers, and other special events. You will have the perfect setting for your historic event with the marble walls and wonderfully arched windows. During all evening and weekend rentals, guests will have access to the Courtroom, Harrison Room, Lobby, Groom's Room, and Bridal Suite for a total of 8 hours. The first two hours are usually devoted to setup, while the last hour is devoted to cleaning. The remaining 5 hours can be utilized for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception, according on your preferences. The ceremony and reception are both held in the Courtroom, and there is usually a room flip as guests enjoy cocktail hour in the lobby before the wedding. Most of the time, renters employ one of our Preferred Caterers to set up, flip, dismantle, and clean up after the event.
