Big League Dreams Cathedral City is a sports park and event complex that opened in 1998 in Cathedral City, California, situated in the Coachella Valley between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. The facility spans three replica baseball and softball fields modeled after Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, and Yankee Stadium, each equipped with approximately 200 stadium-style seats offering clear views of the action. The park features a 20,000-square-foot indoor pavilion available for private events, including corporate gatherings, birthday parties, cheerleading competitions, and dance competitions. The Stadium Club restaurant provides views overlooking all three replica stadiums and offers food and beverages alongside 12 televisions and arcade entertainment. Originally built as Castle’s Red Barn in 1952 by MGM actor Don Castle and his wife Zetta, it was one of the original resort getaways for Hollywood elite. Sparrows Lodge is a completely restored 1950s retreat. You will be welcomed roadside with a simple hand-painted sign with two Sparrows. The Lodge has a modern rustic vibe that carries through to our rooms, communal barn, outdoor fire pit and vegetable garden, accented by a collection of fine art. Sparrows Lodge is located in South Palm Springs, walking distance to Koffi and the simple and delicious Appertito Italian deli and lots of other great dinning and drinking spots in town. We have so many wonderful memories at this venue hosting everything from parties to celebrations. We’ve hosted friends and family and now we’d like to host you. Our love story began many moons ago, when Carolyn offered Robin a scotch and soda (which Robin hates) at a friend’s going away party and he gladly accepted. Since then, we’ve dreamed up, built, and ran several companies and ventures together, learning and growing each step of the way. Today, we are excited to welcome you to our beautiful event venue.
