  The Gordon-Lee Mansion is a historic antebellum estate situated on seven acres at 217 Cove Road in Chickamauga, Georgia. Construction began in 1840 under James Gordon and was completed in 1847, with bricks made on the property grounds. The mansion later passed to the Gordon family's descendants, and the property eventually came under the stewardship of the City of Chickamauga. The estate holds a singular place in Civil War history as the only structure left standing that was used by both Union and Confederate forces during the Battle of Chickamauga in September 1863. Union General William Rosecrans established his headquarters in the mansion's parlor before the battle, and the grounds served as a field hospital for both armies during the conflict. The property also hosted the 1889 Blue-Gray Barbeque, attended by 14,000 Civil War veterans, which led directly to the creation of the Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park. Today the mansion is available for weddings, receptions, luncheons, and private events. The grounds accommodate outdoor ceremonies on the front porch, in the courtyard, or at the Formal Garden's Gazebo, with the mansion's interior available for smaller gatherings. Exposed rafters, rough-sawn wood walls, lantern lighting, a stack stone fireplace, and an antique buckboard wagon give the space its distinctive character. Outside, pristine meadows, a spring-fed pond with a lighted fountain, and views of the North Georgia mountains provide the backdrop for ceremonies at three dedicated sites: The Meadow, The East Lawn, and The Fireplace Room.   The Ruins at Kellum Valley is a historic outdoor wedding venue nestled in the North Georgia mountains, about one hour north of Atlanta. The property traces its roots to the early 1900s, when Elizabeth Carnegie Kellum — niece of steel magnate Andrew Carnegie — purchased more than 1,000 acres to establish a working farm. A three-story stone dormitory and school built for underprivileged children burned in 1928, leaving behind the striking stone foundations and twin chimneys that now define the venue's landscape. Owner DeAnne Major acquired the land in 1996, cleared the ruins from overgrowth, and hosted the first wedding on the property in 2005. Since establishing The Ruins at Kellum Valley Weddings in 2006, the venue has hosted more than 450 all-inclusive celebrations. The property offers over ten distinct outdoor ceremony sites set among the historic ruins and mountain scenery.
