  The Belvedere Estate, situated on more than 25 acres in Westchester County, is a one-of-a-kind property. The estate consists of a large house and many smaller structures scattered over the grounds, all of which include excellent historical elements from the 1920s. The Belvedere was once part of Philipsburg Manor, a 90,000-acre property and one of America's richest landholdings, and was built in the 1910s.   20 civic-minded women gathered at what was then Royle School on August 2, 1923, to form the Darien Improvement Association, which was officially established the following year. It was their declared goal to "keep the town tidy, especially the public routes," as well as "get receptacles for rubbage," that they continued to convene at members' houses. They quickly grew in importance, exerting influence over the preservation of trees and the railroad embankment, advocating for home delivery of mail, supporting the town library, and taking a keen interest in the public schools. During these years, the DCA's primary focus was on providing assistance where there was a genuine need. This charitable commitment continues today, as we commemorate more than 75 years of awarding college scholarships to alumni of Darien High School in Darien, Connecticut. The Darien Improvement Association was founded in 1929, and two years later, the group changed its name to the Darien Community Association, Inc. to better reflect the community it serves. The DCA Thrift Shop opened its doors in October 1931 to provide much-needed work for local women during the Great Depression. Employees were tasked with washing and mending donated clothing, as well as repairing household items, which were then sold at extremely low costs. The Thrift Shop, which is located at 996 Post Road, is now managed by more than 50 volunteers. History Pelham Country Club began as a modest tennis club and five-hole golf course carved out of a cow meadow in 1908. Today, the club boasts a membership of over 2,000 people. When an influential member called Mont Rogers formed a corporation to purchase the site, he contacted famed golf architect Devereux Emmet to design a championship golf course. The course was completed in the summer of 1921. Pelham's golf course, which was created from virgin woodland and winds its way around and over rolling, low-lying hills, offers a variety of scenic panoramas of exceptional beauty. It is difficult to think that Manhattan is only 15 miles away, given the natural beauty of its surroundings, which is comparable only to an old English park. To serve as Pelham's first golf professional, Rogers brought in "Long" Jim Barnes, who was then ranked among the world's top three golfers, to work alongside the course's construction crew. One week after opening the new course, Jim Barnes went down to Columbia Country Club in Washington, D.C., and handily won the 1921 U.S. Open Championship. Barnes also won the inaugural PGA Championship, which was held at neighboring Siwanoy C.C., and was awarded the U.S. Open Trophy in 1921 by President Warren G. Harding, who also served as Barnes' caddie. Pelham Country Club became the epicenter of the golfing universe almost immediately. President Harding was appointed an honorary member of the Club, and Jim Barnes, the new "Pride of Pelham," was welcomed home with a spectacular gala hosted at the Club. Finally, in 1923, it was decided to stage the PGA Championship at Pelham Country Club, and what a fantastic championship it turned out to be. In attendance were all of the top golf pros of the day, and the fiercely-fought championship game, which pitted Gene Sarazen against Walter Hagen, has stood the test of time. It is still considered to be one of the most dramatic match play finals in the history of the Championship, with Gene Sarazen taking home the victory after an incredible 38-hole battle.

  The Conservatory is a 5,000-square-foot glass event building set on the grounds of the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey. Established in 2008 originally for flower and garden exhibitions, the venue has evolved into a dedicated wedding destination hosting over 100 events annually. The building pairs its rustic setting with elegant details — cathedral ceilings, mahogany finishes, exposed wood beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows. A permanent dance floor anchors the reception space, which accommodates up to 230 guests. Four distinct ceremony locations give couples a range of settings: the Zen Garden, a gazebo, the Whiskey Garden, and an indoor space with a retractable garage door that opens onto a paver patio and seven surrounding gardens. An evening fire pit on the patio extends the space into the later hours. The venue hosts one event at a time, with all on-site catering provided exclusively through Willow & Sage.
