Mountain Home Inn is a historic 10-room boutique hotel and event venue perched on the Mt. Tamalpais ridgeline in Mill Valley, California — just 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Built in 1912 by Swiss-German founders who surveyed the mountain to find its most scenic vantage point, the inn sits 900 feet above the village of Mill Valley with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco Bay, and the canopy of Muir Woods below. Originally opened as the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, the facility reopened in March 2024 following a $2.1 million renovation — funded by federal and Los Angeles County grants — that included a full roof replacement, new gymnasium flooring, and upgraded equipment throughout. The center offers rental space for private events, parties, and milestone celebrations through two primary event areas: The Grove, a 4,500-square-foot banquet hall featuring new flooring, motorized blinds, a warming kitchen, and high-definition video walls suited to wedding receptions, galas, and corporate events; and a multi-purpose activity room with an adjacent outdoor patio for smaller gatherings and meetings. Event furniture is included with rental packages. Woodland Hills Country Club is a private country club and event venue set in a quiet, tree-lined canyon on the south side of the San Fernando Valley in Woodland Hills, California. The original course was designed in 1925 by renowned architect William "Billy" Bell Sr., and the clubhouse and social spaces have been refreshed to offer a comfortable, modern setting for gatherings of all kinds. The club offers over 20,000 square feet of connected indoor and outdoor private event space. Primary event venues include the Terrace Ballroom — an indoor space featuring a granite-topped bar, ambient lighting, and a permanent stage, renovated in summer 2023 — alongside The Garden, an outdoor lawn ceremony space with a gazebo and panoramic valley views. Additional spaces include the Heights Lounge, Heights Patio, and Sunset Room, which serve cocktail hours, pre-dinner gatherings, and intimate rehearsal dinners. Perched in the Eastern Sierra, Mammoth Mountain Weddings offers ceremonies and receptions across nine distinct venues spanning two mountain resorts — Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain — in Mammoth Lakes, California. From the summit of Mammoth Mountain at 11,053 feet to a lakeside timber chapel, a mid-mountain rooftop, and a rustic ski lodge, each setting delivers alpine scenery year-round or seasonally, with panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada, the Minarets, and surrounding peaks. Event spaces accommodate gatherings from 80 to 250 guests, covering intimate receptions at Parallax, outdoor ceremonies at the Forest Chapel at Twin Lakes, and large celebrations at McCoy Station. Guests arrive via the Panorama Gondola or Village Gondola, depending on the venue. Each venue has its own own design components and aspects; make a reservation today and celebrate tomorrow. Minimonies at Ravenswood At Ravenswood Historic Site, we are introducing outdoor "minimonies" (mini-ceremonies). Exchange your vows in an outdoor environment with up to 50 guests while keeping all aspects of social distancing in mind. Choose from a romantic garden gazebo, a rustic covered tree patch, or the classic shaded tree archway for your ceremony. Included are the bride's room, tables, chairs, restrooms, parking, and a building attendant. Applicants have the option of hosting a small event with a champagne toast and individually prepared food. A minimum of four (4) hours is required; any additional hours will be charged at the hourly rental rate. Facility Event Rental Process at Ravenswood Applications are accepted eighteen (18) months in advance of the requested date, on a first-come, first served basis; preferred dates, times, and facility location vary. Applicants must submit a completed and signed Facility Rental Application, as well as a refundable deposit, to book and reserve the day. All other rental fees must be paid 45 days before the event date. If applicants want to rent with the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, they must understand and obey the Facility Rental Rules and Regulations.
