The word 'march' refers to a region in the borderlands; a land area on the border between two territories; a realm's border. Boundaries and frontiers are similar in some ways but have different meanings. These two meanings are critical to our cooking philosophy. When it comes to exploration and discovery, borders are frequently mentioned; they typically signify constraints, but for us, these limits motivate us to look further. The edge effect is an ecological concept that describes how two nearby habitats, such as land/water or forest/grasslands, overlap and produce more biodiversity. These intersections of two or more territories fascinate us greatly. The Mediterranean will be our focus, a collection of marches with endless layers of civilizations, languages, ideas, and abilities. Our research isn't simply about looking at a list of probable components or learning about the history of farming and fishing. MARCH is about delving into the tension and depth that can only be found through a clash of worlds spanning ages, all packed into one area. We want to investigate these marches.

It was built in 1876 by German immigrants during a time when horse drawn carriages, railroad tracks, and old saloons were still in use. Today, the house is one hundred and forty years old. The original homesteaders were the well-known Wunsche Brothers of Old Town Spring, who still live on the property. Originally known as "Oak Tree Manor," the historic structure sits on its original site on Spring Stuebner Road and is surrounded by century-old oak trees, some of which are more than two hundred years old. One Live Oak has qualified to be included in the Harris Country Tree Registry, and one Willow Oak has been recognized as a county-wide champion in its category by the Harris County Tree Commission. A living room and a master bedroom have been the only major additions to the main house in recent years, with the remaining rooms being renovated. The original wood has been preserved to the greatest extent possible. The grounds have recently been enhanced with the addition of a Gazebo, a swimming pool, and a reception hall. Numerous weddings have taken place under the shade of the two-hundred-year-old oak tree over the course of several generations. According to local legend, couples who tie the knot under this tree will be blessed with happiness, children, and, of course, a long-lasting relationship. As countless couples embark on the first few steps of their married lives, Oak Tree Manor and its majestic oaks continue to provide a picturesque backdrop for their wedding ceremonies.

The Hall at Ironworks offers 16,800 square feet of blank canvas to bring your Pinterest board to life. The History: Built in 1948 for Cameron Ironworks, this nationally registered historic landmark carries a legacy — from inventing the first blowout preventer to earning national recognition for World War II manufacturing. Today, the original ironwork, soaring 28-foot ceilings, and industrial character create a dramatic backdrop that's entirely yours to transform. The Space: 16,800 square feet of open, adaptable space. You have the option to use our full venue or have it divided in half for a more intimate setting. With a full venue, we can hold up to 1,200 standing guests or 500 seated. The layout is flexible by design because your celebration should fit your vision, not the other way around. What Makes It Different: This is a blank canvas with serious bones. Steel beams and natural light pouring through massive windows give you a foundation with character. Known for good vibes and fun, we are committed to making Dan Electro's a preeminent venue for live music, lounging and private and semi-private events. We have a professional stage with a recently upgraded sound and lighting system, recently updated interiors, and an expansive and well-manicured back patio to enjoy the lovely Houston weather. We also have a private upstairs lounge that is equipped with a PA and televisions that may be used for event space, and this space has access to our upstairs deck and a private side patio.
