This speakeasy is located near the Williamsburg bridge with its own separate entrance on South 5th St. The space was renovated for creatives and is now available for your use. Thus, the look of the space is rustic and industrial including art murals and brick walls, and high pipe exposed ceilings. The floor has its original concrete, with small drains throughout. The space lets in very little daylight even during peek hours of sunshine. This allows photo and video work to have total control over the lighting. The space also comes with a multicolored LED light system that allows you to control the vibe through the space. We have a 10 foot long L- bar and small kitchen with fridge for food storage. The space is equipped with a WIFI network, great phone reception for any carrier, a powerful sound system with high quality JBL speakers wired together throughout the space, and a dj booth. All renters can use our hanging ceiling movie screen and projector to stage their own film viewings. Velvet Brooklyn is a cocktail bar and event venue that may be reserved for your special occasion. It is as luxurious as the fabric it is named after. With its exposed brick interior, vintage chandeliers, warm lighting and disco ball, it is the perfect space for an intimate event or a memorable celebration. It is 1,500 sq. ft with a maximum capacity of 110 guests. The interior includes two spacious bar areas, comfortable seating throughout the venue, allowing guests to mingle comfortably. Velvet Brooklyn is an ideal venue for a stylish and fun celebration where guests can dance, enjoy handcrafted cocktails, soak in the vibrant ambience, and share an unforgettable moment with a loved one. You can choose our Velvet Room which can accommodate up to 60 guests, our Main Bar which can accommodate up to 50 guests, or the entire venue for up to 110 guests. Everything about this building, from the marbled wonder of the gloriously gleaming entrance hall to the grand reception rooms, which include original chambers imported from historic French chateaux, represents the pinnacle of that period's architectural aesthetic, preserved to polished perfection in all of its original detail. The Bouley Test Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind Event Space and Dining Room in the Flatiron District of New York City. The Bouley Test Kitchen is open for lunch on weekdays. The multipurpose Test Kitchen serves as an attractive event space, an engaging classroom, and a state-of-the-art culinary laboratory, with a range of outstanding layouts to match the demands of your party. Private events, corporate/media events, photo/video shoots, and, of course, cookery demonstrations are all made possible by the audiophile A/V equipment, which includes projection and complete videoconferencing capabilities. Bouley Test Kitchen can accommodate up to 100 people seated or 150 standing for a reception. It is equipped with an open performance kitchen, a Steinway grand piano, and an audiophile A/V system from McIntosh. The Bouley team may use the Test Kitchen to experiment with new gourmet ideas and refine existing ones. Organic and bio-dynamic components help to advance innovative procedures that are motivated by health and taste. In the Bouley Test Kitchen, visitors can be seated for up to 120 people and cocktail parties can accommodate up to 180 people. A welcoming area for handed canapés or small dishes is provided in the space's expanding form, which combines the refinement of a 'Chef's dream' with a library of more than 8,000 textbooks of culinary inspiration. The Steinway Concert B piano in the main dining room reverberates beneath a Murano glass chandelier from the 18th century. With a wall of slate connecting the dining room to the kitchen, where guests are encouraged to chalk handwritten recipes or notes for special occasions, guests are invited to see the chefs' expertise in a setting adorned with 16th century copperware. Color LED projection technology, which is state-of-the-art, may be used to customize anniversaries or corporate events. The Test Kitchen also includes equipment from artisanal industry giants such as Molteni, Rational, and Electrolux, as well as handcrafted B&W Nautilus speakers and an emerald lighted turntable powered by the McIntosh Sound System.

Located in the recently renovated “Boiler Building”, Smack Mellon’s gallery is an especially exciting space with tremendous architectural elements. The 6,000 square foot gallery boasts a ceiling that soars to 35 feet. There are 25 windows on two levels providing beautiful light and a spectacular view of Manhattan and the East River. We built our space to be unique and original in many ways but also very minimalist and interchangeable. Our tasting room is 1,000 sf and the main feature here. Large windows open onto the sidewalk. Grey and concrete dominate the space, with 2 circular bar. One bar is a food corner with a simple kitchen set up good for food catering, pop ups or the DJ booth! Lights are all dimmable to create different moods. The main feature of the space is the large circular bar with 40 taps behind it and a big circular window that overlooks our production space. On tap we have a large selection of our cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), local beers, spirits and wine. There are 2 restrooms, one with handicap access. There is plenty of seating, bar seats, custom bench and circular tables, all can be moved or removed.

Carroll Hall is a rare and unexpected event space featuring a botanic garden in Brooklyn. Tucked in the back of our garden is a discreet wooden "treehouse", perfect for a quiet moment during any event. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our very foundation, which uses original bricks and existing ceramic brick walls from the prior warehouse structure, and most of the interior wood is reclaimed. Within our five turn-of-the-century warehouses, The 1896, Studios & Stages houses over a dozen different shooting locations for Photo, Film, Commercials, and Events. Opened in 2008 by sculptor Jen Durbin, The 1896 has welcomed productions and events both small & large for nearly two decades. The site boasts many of its original features, most notably the century-old textured warehouse walls and brick-lined 110' long entrance & promenade, gorgeous skylit warehouses with a 37-foot high clerestory of windows, a 70-foot smokestack towering over Flushing Avenue, a freight elevator with original gear room, and a wrought-iron balcony and fire escape opening onto a brick-lined courtyard. The 1896 with its multiple maze of interconnected and towering warehouses and breakout rooms, both indoor and out, serve as a raw canvas for anything from a stunning Wedding to shape shifting Immersive & Interactive Events and Brand launches, raucous live Concerts blazing til dawn to mud-slinging Fashion Shows and Carnival-themed Birthday bashes. The capacity taps at 274 without permit but swells up to 1200 with a TPA. Positioned inside the North Brooklyn Industrial Business Zone in Bushwick, our parties feel on the edge of nowhere but turn the corner and you hit a dozen taco stands and the Jefferson L. Our vision for this multi-purpose 26,000 square foot filming and event location presented an opportunity to protect this historic block of buildings from the fate of over-development and to preserve it for the arts. Striking a balance between protecting the hard-earned beauty and retrofitting it with all the conveniences and comforts of a modern production studio and event space, The 1896 time worn patina and raw historic charm belie its intimate and personal touch.
