THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE HILL Longtime residents and visitors alike fall in love with the community's strong sense of history and identity, which is enhanced by its small village feel in the heart of Washington. In contrast to the awe-inspiring sights of the Capitol and Supreme Court, other streets are lined with charming rowhouses and public parks. AROUND THE CURRENT CORNER Capitol Hill's shops, restaurants, and cafes, which stretch from Pennsylvania Avenue to Eastern Market and Barracks Row, continue to entice both locals and visitors alike. Visit nearby attractions such as the National Mall and Smithsonian museums, or take a bike ride along some of the most beautiful streets in the United States. HOW TO GET HERE Washington's easternmost border is formed by Capitol Hill, which provides easy access to major highways, several Metro lines, and Union Station. A number of Capital Bikeshare stations are also located in the area, particularly to the east of the Capitol. Walking or cycling around the neighborhood is a breeze because the blocks are relatively short and flat. America's Square is an iconic and irreplaceable piece of DC real estate, and the OBSERVATORY is located on top of it. AMERICA'S SQUARE, JOINED BY A DRAMATIC GLASS ATRIUM, IS COMPOSED OF TWO DISTINCTIVE BUILDINGS UNIQUE TO THEMSELVES. LOUISIANA AVENUE is a beautiful, historic building that was originally constructed in 1935 and boasts a classic limestone facade, a two-story marble lobby with Greek columns, and finished ceiling heights of nearly 12 feet. 51 LOUISIANA AVENUE is located in the heart of the historic district of New Orleans. In 2009, Lord Richard Rogers designed a glass and steel building at 300 New Jersey Avenue in New York City that is bold and innovative. Lord Rogers is a well-known international architect who has won numerous awards for his work.

With Umaya, you can enjoy the serenity and simplicity of a Western-style beer garden combined with traditional Asian plates and a dining experience that is both authentic and modern. As the name suggests, Umaya DC specializes in the ever-popular Japanese "street food," with well-seasoned chefs putting their own spins on time-honored dishes. Classic dishes such as sushi and ramen, as well as authentic Izakaya masterpieces, can be found on the restaurant's menu. Umaya will delight your senses in every way, from the refreshing décor to the Asian comfort food and the scent of the Izakaya grill.. Umaya brings a much-needed Izakaya presence to the nation's capital, which was previously lacking. It is similar to tapas restaurants in that they encourage guests to share and enjoy their time together over a few drinks, which is always the case at an izakaya restaurant. A wide selection of beer and sake will be available at Umaya, which will complement the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere of the restaurant. Every few months, the seasonal menu will be updated, but favorite staples will remain on the menu. In Japanese, the word 'Umaya' literally translates as a 'place that tastes good.' In contrast to your traditional upscale sushi restaurant, Umaya is a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself after work, on weekends, or whenever you need to relax and unwind. Our team at Umaya Izakaya is ready to assist you if you are looking for a spectacular space to host your next family occasion or business gathering in the greater Los Angeles area. Designed to accommodate groups of 20 to 100 people, our private sections are available for rent. Parties of up to 119 people seated and 284 people standing can be accommodated in the entire restaurant, including the al fresco dining area. Cocktail parties, corporate events, holiday parties, wedding rehearsal dinners, brunches, and almost any other type of event you can think of are all things we enjoy doing at our establishment. You can turn your dreams into a reality by coming to Umaya.

At FIG & OLIVE, we invite our guests to share in the joy of living life to the fullest. We begin our journey in the Mediterranean region, where fig and olive trees are revered as symbols of peace and prosperity. The French Riviera has always been a meeting point for people, cultures, and culinary traditions. With such abundance and diversity, we founded FIG & OLIVE to capture the essence of the French Riviera, which is built on a foundation of genuine ingredients, a keen understanding of flavor, and an ambiance that celebrates the love of life and culture that are synonymous with the region. Fig & Olive's cuisine is guided by a philosophy that starts, first and foremost, with a love and respect for the ingredients that are used in the preparation of the dishes. Every dish, whether it's paper-thin carpaccios, a fruity blood orange infused olive oil, a supple burrata, or an aged balsamic vinegar, is served without compromising on quality or taste. Taking inspiration from the region's love of premium-quality olive oil, we cook with minimal use of heavy sauces and creams, instead focusing on the fresh flavors that are essential to the Mediterranean Diet. The moment you walk into one of our restaurants, you will be greeted by an abundance of natural light, outdoor terraces, the scent of rosemary, and music that has been carefully selected. Every effort is made to ensure that our guests feel pampered and special during their stay. The life of luxury is represented by us, but we present it in a way that is both approachable and effortless. In our bar, lounges, or dining rooms, you can get away from it all with a delicious cocktail, a wine list selected by a sommelier, and a culinary journey unlike any other. Bienvenue.

With brick-oven pizzas, mouth-watering burgers, and freshly caught fish — no matter what kind of diner you are looking for from casual to adventurous, City Tap House DC guarantees they will satisfy you and your guests' appetite. City Tap House DC prides themselves on using locally sourced ingredients. Their chefs are experts in their craft and, like their favorite brewers, champion innovation, integrity and hard work. Above all, City Tap House DC's goal is to see their food and craft beer enhance your special event and ensure it is one your guests will love. For City Tap House DC, craft is everything. “Craft” is most often defined as doing things by hand. For City Tap House DC, craft is complex, innovative beers. Craft is food that inspires and surprises the palate. Craft is service that delights and exceeds expectations. Most importantly, craft means championing love and integrity in every aspect of what they do. From India Pale to Berliner Weisse, Fruited Wheats to Barrel-Aged Stouts, the world of craft beer is rich with variety and innovation. With so much beer to try, entering this world can feel overwhelming. Throw in jargon like “hoppy-ness,” “cask-conditioned,” and “brettanomyces” — it’s easy to drown in the vocabulary of craft beer alone! But that’s why City Tap House DC is here: to make craft beer accessible to all. In City Tap House DC's kitchen, craft comes first. Like beer slowly fermenting in a tank, their food is prepared with equal parts precision and patience. Lead by Executive Chef, Ian Branning our menu blends personal expertise with regional traditions to make something daring and refreshing.
