With stages and grand pianos for live music, beautiful fireplaces, courtyards, and lots of space for dancing, our Berkeley, CA wedding venue is the ideal location to express your love for your future spouse. Our primary event rooms, the Ballroom and Terrace, are located on the second floor and are rich in history and beauty, making them ideal for organizing a spectacular wedding reception. This floor also has our Member's Lounge, which is open to all members. With variable socially distant room layouts that can accommodate every wedding, as well as varied seating plans, we can accommodate any event. The Berkeley City Club's event spaces are among the most visually arresting in the entire city of Berkeley. This 94-acre home is located on the Palos Verdes bluffs, which provide breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. You can view the vineyard, the Pacific Ocean, and even Catalina Island in the distance from practically everywhere in the event garden. During the day, you and your guests will eat, drink, and dance the hours away as the sun sets in a stunning display of color over the Pacific. The stars appear even brighter and more numerous after dark from this secluded vantage point, making for an unforgettable night sky experience. Catalina View Gardens is a difficult site to conceive of in California for an outdoor event. Catalina View Wines are also available for purchase to serve at your event or simply to enjoy on your own. The location is available for daily hire at a cost of $12,000 per day. A $2,000 refundable deposit is required in addition to the venue charge for damages, over-standard cleaning, and entertainment compliance. The venue charge is deducted from the deposit. All events must stop no later than 9:30 p.m., according to the stipulations of our permission. This means the music will be turned off, food and beverages will no longer be served, and visitors will begin to go. We can only allow DJs that are on our approved DJs list because of the noise limits. We have strict guidelines for sound levels at our events, and all of the approved DJs have adhered to these guidelines while still keeping the dance floor crowded throughout the night.

Our studio and design center, which was originally located in downtown Austin, Texas, has now moved to a location just a few blocks from Venice Beach. As landscape and garden designers, we offer a wide range of services to commercial and residential clients. We also create interior and exterior commissions, floral and plant arrangements for special events, and boutique gathering and event spaces in both Venice, California, and Austin, Texas. Owner and principal designer, Selena Souders, along with her team of designers and construction crew, create and implement a variety of extraordinary landscape, hardscape, and gardening solutions for both residential and commercial spaces, starting with the initial design concept. The talents and experiences of our team are pooled together, and our work incorporates elements of philosophy, architecture, field botany, welding, floral design, and stone carving. Our magical oasis on Rose Avenue in Venice is fully stocked with a wide variety of signature vessels, plantings, succulents, and home/garden accessories to suit any style or budget.

No matter where you choose to hold your reception, our lounges are centrally located, close to the action but far enough away to allow for a more intimate setting. This booking is one of our most popular for casual mixers because of the comfortable, living room-style seating. The Press Club's Wine Library, which is located on the first floor, lobby level of the venue, is an elegant reception space that boasts 20-foot glass windows with views of the beautiful pedestrian walkway, Yerba Buena Lane, and is open to the public. The Wine Library is a great space for hosting up to 15-20 people seated or 35 people standing, thanks to its ample lounge seating and personal wine tender for your event. In addition to stationed artisanal cheese boards, house-made charcuterie and passed hors d'oeuvres, guests can also indulge in a full wine country buffet with a pre-selected wine list. For a semi-private, exclusive reception, our Private Dining Room and Bottle Lounge are a fantastic combination space. It's a cozy space for hosting a wine and food reception for up to 45 guests, and it has plenty of seating for guests to mingle, network, and savor a plate of delicious wine-paired cuisine. The Bottle Lounge, which is separated from the main venue by a beautifully lit bottle wall, features plush seating and cocktail tables, and is a great place to enjoy wine pours and passed hors d'oeuvres during the evening. In the Private Dining Room, which is connected to the Bottle Lounge by a 10' x 8' glass door, you can serve a heavier buffet for your event guests... Having the entire Press Club to yourself represents the ultimate wine country experience while also providing the convenience of never having to leave the city. Your group will have full access to our 9000 square foot design-award winning space, which includes five fully staffed wine tasting bars, our beautiful u-shaped stone bar, Bottle Lounge, Private Dining Room, and multiple lounge areas, as well as many intimate corners for conversation, wine tastings, and dancing, among other amenities. Our upstairs Wine Library can also function as a sixth bar, with glasses of sparkling wine being passed around to greet each guest upon their arrival. Flying Caballos Ranch is a historic ranch venue nestled in the rolling hills of Edna Valley Wine Country, less than five minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo. Set on approximately 100 acres with sweeping views of Edna Valley and Islay Hill, a year-round creek, and working horse and cattle pastures, the property dates to the early 1900s — the original farmhouse was built in 1905 when the land operated as a dairy farm. The venue offers two distinct event spaces for private celebrations: the Flying Caballos Barn, a 4,000-square-foot rustic-industrial space featuring indoor and outdoor catering areas, a bar, vintage lighting, a PA and sound system, and a stone fireplace on the outdoor patio; and an outdoor Farmhouse Garden anchored by an expansive lawn with bistro lights, a fire pit, lounge seating, and a brick BBQ. The property accommodates weddings and events of up to 200 guests. Petroni Vineyards' creator, Lorenzo Petroni, had managed to persuade the Italian Brunello Consorzio, a group dedicated to preserving the wine's geographical purity, to let him use the name on his Moon Mountain Sangiovese. That narrative, on the other hand, is best conveyed in person. Lorenzo's ambition was to create a California Sangiovese that could compete with the renowned and desired Brunello di Montalcino from Italy's Tuscan region. He left home at the age of 17 with only a handful of dollars in his pocket and a woman's pant suit from his mother, who explained that "after he found a job, he could hire a tailor and look the correct part." He worked hard and saved his money, eventually founding The North Beach Restaurant with a buddy, Bruno Orsi, who would be the restaurant's chef. Lorenzo, an incredibly charismatic and welcoming Italian, quickly earned the title "Mayor of North Beach" and is well known for hosting San Francisco's elite for lunch, heated political debates, and late-night Grappa tastings in the restaurant's basement, which also has the grandfathered-in ability to cure its own prosciutto. He was the first restaurant in the area to set up tables outside, much like he did in his native country.

Nisei is Chef David Yoshimura's first restaurant after holding the position of Chef de Cuisine at the Michelin-starred Californios restaurant in San Francisco. The restaurant is located in the Russian Hill district of San Francisco. The restaurant Nisei is a celebration of the Japanese-American ancestry of its owner, Chef David Yoshimura. The tasting menu is inspired by the cuisine of California, which is known as Washoku. Washoku, which literally translates to "harmony of food," is the Japanese equivalent of "home cooking." The art of Washoku centers on a set of guiding principles that emphasize harmony in color, sense of smell and taste, and respect for the ingredients used in food preparation. To complement the experience, Nisei offers a selection of drinks from all over the world that have been painstakingly chosen by the General Manager and Sommelier, Ian Cobb.
