Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden is a 4.63-acre public garden in downtown Santa Barbara, California, occupying the former site of the historic El Mirasol Hotel. Established in 1977 and often called the "crown jewel" of the city's park system, the garden features an extensive botanical collection of 75 tree and plant species, a koi pond, a sensory garden with audio posts and interpretive Braille signs, a low water use demonstration garden, walking paths, picnic areas, and a classic gazebo. The park offers a reservable event space — the Arbor Area — a lush grassy area framed by a wisteria arbor near Arrellaga Street. The Arbor Area accommodates up to 100 guests and is a popular site for wedding ceremonies. Sonora Opera Hall & Convention Center occupies a landmark historic building at 250 S. Washington Street in the heart of downtown Sonora, California. The hall traces its origins to 1879, when it was built as a flour mill with funds from the Bonanza Gold Mine. Restored to its original purpose as a performance and gathering space, it has become the centerpiece of downtown Sonora, hosting events every weekend of the year. The main hall features a 52-by-31-foot hardwood floor, elegant burgundy velvet draperies, large windows, a full stage with dimmable lights, and a prep kitchen. The space accommodates up to 250 guests banquet-style and up to 410 in theater configuration, making it suitable for weddings, concerts, business expos, art shows, fundraisers, and community gatherings. Rental includes 25 eight-foot tables, 5 six-foot tables, and 200 padded chairs. A handicapped lift provides accessible entry. The hall is managed by the Sonora Chamber of Commerce.
