avec, a Mediterranean and Midwestern influenced shared plates restaurant, opened in October 2003 out of a partnership between Executive Chef Paul Kahan, restaurateur Donnie Madia and wine steward Eduard Seitan. Chef Perry Hendrix's rustic menu, featuring Midwest ingredients from valued local purveyors, takes its cue from the sun-drenched wine regions of Southwestern Europe. Beyond reflecting the aromas, flavors and colors of the Mediterranean in its cuisine, avec's extensive wine list focuses on the region's boutique vineyards. avec's second floor private event space draws from the warm, intimate design of the main dining room, and evokes the feeling of a rustic mediterranean wine cave. With an open kitchen and private bar, the second floor can host private events for up to 40 seated guests or up to 60 guests for a standing reception. For smaller groups, the space can be divided into a small, private room for with seating for 12 guests, and a semi-private space with seating for up to 20 guests.

Located in the JW Marriott Chicago in the city’s bustling Loop financial district, The Florentine offers an elegant yet accessible interpretation of seasonal Italian cuisine. The Florentine offers private and semi-private dining space, which can be reserved for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Our versatile spaces provide the perfect venue for every occasion – business dinners, cocktail receptions, and post wedding brunches alike. Our large Private Dining Room can accommodate up to 60 guests for a seated dinner, and 90 for a reception. The space can be reserved as one large room, or two separate spaces for smaller events. The room features two 42” Plasma TVs, as well as access to our surround sound system, which can be connected to a personal iPhone. In our main dining area, semi-private spaces accommodating 12-50 guests can be reserved for an intimate dinner, or a larger cocktail reception. The Florentine Bar can also be reserved for cocktail receptions up to 130 guests.

This seafood haven has become a go-to neighborhood staple for locals, visitors and celebrities alike, serving as Chicago’s foremost spot for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and fish, in addition to USDA Gibson’s Prime Angus steaks and chops. In this culinary tour of certain places outside of southern France, executive chef Michael Woodhall (Perennial, Gilt Bar, Bavette's) leads guests on an exploration of some regions outside of southern France. New dishes have been added to our menu that are inspired by the tastes and culinary traditions of the Basque area of Spain. For your evening out, two different dining rooms offer a pleasant setting for you to enjoy. The 13 glass pours available from the extended wine list include blanc, rose, rouge, and sparkling varieties from France, Italy, and Spain ($9–13 per glass). The drink menu also includes inventive handmade cocktails as well as well-considered beer options.

In September 2014 the 2 year restoration of Biggs Mansion was completed. With over $4 million dollars spent and absolutely no cost spared, real estate developer and current owner Fred Latsko converted the previously known IL Mulino restaurant into Chicago's finest cigcar show and private cigar lounge. Biggs Mansion also features an outdoor patio.

This multicultural exchange, created by merchants centuries ago, is now brought to life in the kitchen of our restaurant and cocktail bar, exploring the shared cultural heritage between the East and the West, using Istanbul as the historical gateway that connects both territories. Chefs Marcos Campos, Erwin Mallet and Shannah Primiano have traveled along the Silk Road to create a menu inspired by the rich traditions, ancestral techniques, exciting products and flavorsome spices widely exchanged and mastered by Eastern and Western cultures since the 13th century. Led by industry vanguard Brian Sturgulewski, Bambola’s bar celebrates modern beverages inspired by timeless ingredients from the historic Silk Road. Bambola’s rare, imaginative and jaw-droppingly diverse array of artistic elements is a testament to the crossroads of Eastern and Western civilizations.
