The main floor of the Library showcases beautiful murals and huge windows so that the entire room is bathed in natural light. Vintage-inspired light fixtures add a historic touch and warm light when the sun sets. The largest event space of the venue, it has various sofas and low tables, providing a comfortable setting for loved ones to sip a celebratory cocktail. The shelves that line the walls provide copious amounts of room for various items of decor and mood lighting, to make the space your own. Standing beneath marble columns, ornately gilded balconies and an elaborate frescoed ceiling, it’s easy to imagine this building’s allure when it first came on the scene as a flashy French restaurant and San Francisco’s grandest nightclub. Opening in 1907 on the heels of the great earth- quake, the 5,000-square- foot concert hall symbolized the city’s renewed optimism. The popular club flourished for a quarter century in this incarnation, then became the Music Box, where Sally Rand performed her famous fan dances. In 1972 it was reborn as the Great American Music Hall. For more than 25 years the hall has showcased the talents of music and comedy greats such as Prince, Ray Charles, Jay Leno, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams. Its intimate setting and wonderful acoustics continue to make it a favorite of music lovers throughout the Bay Area. Capacities for events at Mezzanine SF range from 75 to 1,000. Mezzanine SF offers a full-service professional event staff and all the services necessary for the creation and execution of your event, including but not limited to catering, audio, lighting, entertainment booking, management, and custom décor. Our four unique and flexible spaces are suitable for events of every size and shape, from after work hangouts and conferences to holiday parties and weddings. San Francisco Historic Landmark #130, the Hibernia Bank now serves as a visible anchor for the City's Mid-Market neighborhood and features unique Neoclassical Revival-style touches, including its grand domed entrance and giant exterior colonnade. The interior boasts breathtaking Tiffany-style skylights which bathe the main hall in a warm amber glow, as well as the original mahogany-carved bank counter and vaults encased in red marble imported from Cork, Ireland. Most recently, this architectural gem has undergone an extensive renovation and has been lovingly restored to its former splendor.

In addition to a high-quality Meyer Sound system and a standard house lighting plot that includes an inventory of moving lights, the facility is well-equipped with other amenities. The stage floor, which has a sprung floor surface, is ideal for performing dance. With wide, comfortable seats, the seating is done in a continental style. The interior of the theater is decorated with cascading red curtains that create an intimate atmosphere. The prep room, which overlooks the park and lagoon, is an excellent location for any photo shoot on the Palace grounds.
