The Liriodendron is a historic Georgian Revival mansion in Bel Air, Maryland, built in 1898 as the summer residence of Dr. Howard Atwood Kelly, one of Johns Hopkins Medical School's four founding physicians. Designed by the Baltimore architectural firm Wyatt & Nolting and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the estate sits on more than 100 acres of wooded grounds and is now operated by the nonprofit Liriodendron Foundation as a cultural and events destination. The mansion accommodates up to 120 guests for weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events. Indoor spaces include a dining room with a working fireplace and chandelier, a center room with double doors that open to a terrace, and a music room with hardwood floors suited for dancing. Outdoor ceremony options include a wisteria-draped trellis, two large porticos, and boxwood and flower gardens. A bridal suite and a separate groom's room are available for day-of preparation. Carroll Mansion is a Federal-era historic house museum in Baltimore's Jonestown neighborhood, four blocks east of the Inner Harbor. Built around 1811, the mansion served as the winter residence of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence. Carroll Museums, Inc. has operated and restored the property since 2002, welcoming private events alongside museum programming. The mansion's second floor houses three connected rooms — the Drawing Room, Dining Room, and Parlor — with 18-foot ceilings, a spiral staircase, and ornate chandeliers. Together, the three-room suite accommodates up to 80 guests for seated dinners or 150 for standing receptions. From May through September, the Garden Courtyard offers an outdoor option with surrounding gardens and an elevated porch, seating up to 130 guests. The mansion's interiors reflect the grandeur of its era — 22-foot ceilings, dark wood paneling, polished hardwood floors, and crystal chandeliers set the tone across four rentable rooms on the first floor: the Yellow Room, the Helz Music Room, a formal dining room, and a parlor with the building's original fireplace. Together, these spaces accommodate up to 110 guests for a seated dinner or 150 for a cocktail reception. Two additional rooms on the second floor are well-suited for smaller social and business functions.
