Mezzanine SF is an adaptable venue that measures over 12,000 square feet with mezzanine levels that can be divided into smaller, more intimate spaces. The versatile space accommodates events ranging from small gatherings to large scale productions including product launches, corporate receptions, sit-down dinners, photography / video shoots, fashion shows, art shows, film screenings, and dances parties. Capacities for events at Mezzanine SF range from 75 to 1,000. Mezzanine SF offers a full-service professional event staff and all the services necessary for the creation and execution of your event, including but not limited to catering, audio, lighting, entertainment booking, management, and custom décor. The food focuses on Italian cuisine through the lens of California. It’s our vision of Northern California as if it is a region in Italy, our connection to the region and our love for Italian culinary practices. The rustic, market-driven menu features handmade pasta, pizzas, antipasti, housemade salumi, meat and fish plus dishes from the Jewish-Roman heritage known as “Cucina Ebraica.” The restaurant itself inhabits a building with over 100 years of history in San Francisco and was originally built as a stable after the great fire in 1906 and before our takeover of the space, an auto body shop. We built our tasting room in the heart of SoMa to serve as an urban oasis reflecting the look and feel of Napa Valley with an expansive outdoor patio (with expandable roof) and chic indoor space in SoMa, San Francisco. The University Club of San Francisco was established with the goal of providing a gathering place for alumni from various colleges. The Clubhouse's first location was rented at 722 Sutter Street. It was eventually regarded too tiny to accommodate the rising membership, despite its elegance. In the historic earthquake of 1906, the Club's original location at 722 Sutter was demolished, and the majority of the building was devoured by fire. 800 Powell, once the Stanford Mansion's stables, was chosen as the location for the new Clubhouse. The Club's new edifice was designed by renowned architects Walter Bliss and William Faville.
