Florin Creek Recreation Center is a community event facility operated by the Southgate Recreation & Park District, located at 7460 Persimmon Avenue in Sacramento, California. Remodeled in 2009, the center sits on 12.6 acres of park space in South Sacramento and is available for weddings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, family reunions, large meetings, outdoor concerts, and similar private gatherings. The main hall accommodates up to 120 guests for banquets and up to 150 in an assembly layout. A large rear deck extends the usable event space outdoors, and the grounds include an outdoor amphitheater, playgrounds, and soccer fields. The interior features recessed lighting, and the facility is equipped with a kitchen and audio/visual capabilities. Rancho Los Cerritos is a historic home and gardens nestled in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, California. Built in the mid-1800s, the two-story adobe structure served as the headquarters of a sprawling cattle and sheep ranch before evolving through generations of California history. Today, the 4.74-acre property holds Local, State, and National Historic Landmark designations, offering a setting shaped by centuries of California heritage. The grounds — designed by landscape architect Ralph D. Cornell in the 1930s — feature four distinct outdoor and semi-indoor event spaces, from the expansive Backyard with its 150-year-old Moreton Bay Fig tree and Italian Cypresses to the intimate Inner Courtyard centered on a reflecting pond. A Petite Garden provides privacy for smaller gatherings, while the Sun Porch is the venue's only fully enclosed indoor space, with glass walls looking out onto the courtyard. The Club is also open to the general public on occasion for special events. A beautiful venue for weddings, parties, meetings, and community events, the Altadena Town & Country Club is located in Altadena, California. There are three elegant ballrooms at the ATCC, each of which has a spectacular view of the San Gabriel Mountains and the Club's amenities to offer. Aside from that, the Club offers two outdoor venues that are ideal for ceremonies and special events. The catering menus at the ATCC include a wide range of options, ranging from appetizers and hors d'oeuvres to entrées and desserts. In 1910, the Altadena Country Club, as it was originally known, was established, and on December 28, 1911, the club celebrated its grand opening. By 1915, the club had grown to include an 18-hole golf course and two tennis courts, and membership had reached 147 people. The Clubhouse's footprint was expanded in 1916, and a swimming pool measuring 25 feet long by 8 feet deep was added. By 1917, World War I had taken its toll, and membership had dropped by half, putting the organization on the verge of closure. A group of members took over the struggling Club in 1920 and renamed it the Pasadena Golf Club to reflect the new location. As part of an effort to keep up with the growing popularity of golf, the course was completely rebuilt with grass tees, greens, and fairways that were of the highest quality. The course was praised for having the largest tees and greens on the Pacific Coast, as well as a "traveling sprinkler" that moved from hole to hole. The Zalud House is a historic Second Empire mansion built in 1891 at 393 N. Hockett Street in Porterville, California. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is one of the few homes from that era that has never been remodeled, and it remains furnished entirely with the original Zalud family's possessions. The City of Porterville has stewarded the property since 1970, when the family's youngest daughter, Pearle, bequeathed it to the city. Events take place in the surrounding 1930s-style rose garden, a lush outdoor setting of manicured lawns, brick pathways, flowering trees, and seasonal blooms. The garden is well suited to outdoor weddings, receptions, and private celebrations. Each rental includes access to the garden area, a bridal room, a kitchen, and tables and chairs. An on-site officiant is available upon request. Champagne toasts are permitted; general alcohol service is not allowed on the property. Reservations are managed through the City of Porterville Parks and Leisure Department, with rental rates starting at $51 per hour on business days and $61 per hour on non-business days, subject to a two-hour minimum.

Our private estate serves as the setting for a select few of the events that we host each year due to the nature of our boutique and exclusive location. This guarantees that the grounds are kept in pristine shape at all times and that our customers are not hurried whether checking in or checking out (which can happen at venues that book events back to back). The Kitchen Garden is only exposed after passing through the arched entryway and gives an unlimited selection of settings in which to be photographed or wander around while drinking a cocktail. It is set in a one-acre "room" that is totally enclosed by a 12 foot high Hornbeam hedge. A stone fruit orchard with 30 trees, including peach, pluot, plum, apricot, and nectarine, is included, in addition to a heritage apple and pear orchard with 30 trees and a big vegetable garden. A cutting garden with over 700 tall bearded irises, 300 David Austin roses (comprising approximately 60 distinct types), gladiolas, tuberose, daffodils, carnations, and a lavender garden has also been painstakingly included.

ABOUT MENLO CIRCUS CLUB A group of young girls met on an Atherton Estate around 1920 to ride their horses and play. These girls created a "club" and decided to put on a circus for the delight of their parents, friends, and neighbors, as young children do. The mother of one of the girls, Mrs. W. B. Weir, offered that the revenues of the circus be donated to the Stanford Convalescent Home (now known as Lucile Packard Children's Hospital). The first circus was hosted on the W. B. Weir property at Middlefield Road and Glenwood Avenue in the summer of 1920. Youngsters rode their own horses and ponies, while others brought along pet cats, goats, and dogs that they had trained to perform stunts. The Stanford Convalescent Home received $500 from the first circus. The circus flourished the following year. Adults turned the circus into a social gathering, attracting visitors from as far north as San Francisco and south as San Jose. The circus grew in size, as did the social event, in the third year, and it became clear to parents that the circus had overrun the two fields. Land was purchased in the fall of 1922 for the creation of the Menlo Circus Club, which was formed the following year. Shoreline Alternative Area occupies the eastern end of Shoreline Park near La Marina Drive in Santa Barbara, California, with sweeping views of the Santa Barbara Harbor, the Pacific Ocean, and the Santa Ynez Mountains. The site sits atop the bluffs within a 14.67-acre coastal park established in 1968, and is managed by the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department. The grassy, open-air setting accommodates up to 125 guests, making it well suited for outdoor wedding ceremonies, small receptions, and special events. Walking paths, nearby restrooms, and stairway access to the beach below complement the grounds, and the park's position along the California Coastal Trail connects it to six miles of paved pathways along the Santa Barbara waterfront.
