On our lovely patio and within the restaurant, Lewis Barbecue offers full service private gatherings. John Lewis, the founder and maestro of BBQ, grew up in El Paso, Texas, and came to Austin at the age of 18 to begin his culinary career. John's parents got him a New Braunfels smoker for his birthday around this time, and he began dabbling in Austin's long-standing backyard BBQ culture. He immediately began to experiment with the design and construction of both his smokers and his meats in order to achieve a better result. After spending time in Denver developing his skills on the competition barbecue circuit, John returned to Austin to assist his buddy Aaron Franklin with the opening of Franklin Barbecue, and then joined with LeAnn Mueller to open the much-loved La Barbecue. John went to the Holy City in March 2015 with his smokers to introduce the Lowcountry to the amazing world of Texas BBQ. Lewis Barbecue, which he and his team established in June 2016, has been acclaimed as one of the greatest in the country by publications such as Southern Living, Conde Nast Traveler, Garden & Gun, and others for its famed brisket, honky tonk music, and laid-back attitude. You're still in luck if you can't make it to the physical location. All of John's smoked meats are shipped across the United States via our online store. Rancho Lewis, John's second design, will open in Charleston in 2022. Rancho Lewis embodies the spirit of West Texas, an area rich in varied cultures, and was inspired by his youth growing up in the Southwest Texas-El Paso region. Lewis Barbecue will open a sister location in Greenville, SC, as well.

The Harbour Club at WestEdge is the ideal venue for your special occasion! Our locations are multi-purpose and may be utilized for a variety of events like weddings, parties, receptions, showers, and more. Our exquisite Rivers Ballroom, located on the 7th floor of the prominent WestEdge building, boasts gorgeous floor to ceiling windows with views of the Charleston city skyline and waterfront. The Ballroom may easily be partitioned into smaller sections for private gatherings or left open for parties of up to 300 people, depending on the size of your guest list. The Westendorff building was acquired by MOSAIC Catering + Events in 2014 and underwent a lengthy historical renovation. The Westendorff building's owner Steven Niketas received the Whitelaw Founders Award from the Historic Charleston Foundation and the Carolopolis Award from the Preservation Society of Charleston in 2015 in appreciation of the renovation and adaptive reuse of the structure. The property consists of a large barn situated on 80 acres of land which provides ample space for an indoor or outdoor wedding. The barn can hold 300 people and table seating is provided for up to 80 people. It features large windows that allow ample natural light to stream into the main room with over 3200 square feet of available space, a handicap accessible men and women’s wash closet, a built-in stage, a bar, and space for a dance floor. About the Client Jeff was born and raised right here in Charleston. He decided to make the move to Awendaw when he found a dream piece of property that came on the market back in 2018. Jeff spent 10 long months working to get the place the way he always pictured it could be. Since moving in late 2019, him and his 2 dogs (Gamble & Gus) have loved every minute of it! Everyone that steps foot onto the property, can picture the property as a great location for your special day, for those who love the lowcountry scenery and a good river breeze. Even Jim and his fiance, Jill, plan to do just that in 2022! The property being 8 acres and a 2500 square ft wrap around porch, it makes for the ultimate sunset location over the Wando River. For those who truly love the outdoors as much as Jeff and his dogs do, we know you’ll enjoy your day here at The Huntington! Story of the Logo Jeff has such a love for his two dogs, Gamble & Gus. Gamble is an older yellow lab and Gus is a young German Shepard. As much as he takes pride in his property, he loves to show off his dogs!
