The Cayton Children's Museum is the perfect place to host your next gathering! Set right off the beach in the heart of vibrant Downtown Santa Monica, the Cayton offers 21,000 square feet of play space with 25 discovery-based exhibits, art studios and an award-winning theater as well as gallery pop-up space and community space—all in the heart of shopping and dining at Santa Monica Place. For everything from birthday parties to baby showers to corporate events, the Cayton Children's Museum has a solution that will meet your needs. In the event that you rent space at the Cayton, our event professionals will work with you to customize a package that meets your specific requirements. We collaborate with a network of preferred event vendors, caterers, performers, artists, photographers, and more, allowing you to concentrate on your celebration! Catering, performers and artists, photographers, and other services are available so that you can concentrate on the person who is blowing out the candles. We have several private rooms available for event rentals, as well as the entire museum available for private buy-outs for groups of up to 500 people (see below).

A Landmark Reimagined for Extraordinary Events Landmark venue. Bespoke experiences. Impeccable service. Built in 1913 by Elmer Grey—architect of the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Pasadena Playhouse—440 Elm is a historic landmark with one of the grandest ballrooms in LA/OC. It offers presence and scale —without the patterned carpet, preset timelines, or shared lobbies of a hotel. Honored with the Long Beach Heritage Award for adaptive reuse and named a Best Ballroom Venue finalist by California Wedding Day, 440 Elm has been reimagined for awards shows, galas, experiences, and off-sites where visual impact and precision are equally non-negotiable. With over 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, the venue accommodates up to 900 standing or 500 seated in the Grand Ballroom, and up to 1,100 guests across the full property. Additional spaces include a black-and-white foyer, an exposed-brick Parlor, and an outdoor Plaza. We collaborate closely with planners, producers, and DMCs to support detailed production from pre-visualization through execution. Layouts are open and adaptable. There’s no exclusive AV—so you have control over your vendor team and budget. We use tools like Timeline Genius and Merri to stay aligned, avoid surprises, and keep creative and logistical decisions on track—with preparation, clarity, and respect for the work it takes to produce something excellent. The Mayne Events Center is Bellflower’s newest addition and a centerpiece of the community. The Mayne is a centrally located venue in the Los Angeles Orange County region and is easily accessible with major freeways nearby. It is also home to the Los Angeles County Fire Museum. On a tree-lined street in a residential neighborhood, a Long Beach landmark has been reborn. One of three Southern California women’s clubs built in 1924, the Long Beach building has been privately purchased and re-imagined into of of Southern California’s most beautiful historic venues. The Ebell boasts distinctive architectural features and is a prime example of the Spanish-Revival design favored during the 1920s. Featuring the characteristic red-tile roof and a soaring intricately sculpted portico makes a dramatic statement and beautiful backdrop for photographs. Rich details and a variety of textures allow you to experience intimacy and grandeur in one stunning venue, making your event possibilities limitless.
