The Faurschou Foundation was established in 2011 by Mr. Faurschou after decades as gallery owner focusing on international contemporary art. Faurschou New York and Chef Refslund represent a perfect partnership, as they compliment each other’s stunning collections of inspirations. Terroir represents the sum of natural forces: soil condition, sun, wind, and rain. Part of the West Chelsea Historic District, STORIED was originally home to one of the city’s first taxi garages in the early 1900s. In later chapters, it served as Annie Leibovitz’s home and studio, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet’s performance space, and most recently, Chelsea Factory, whose sole mission was to support the artists, ensembles, and arts organizations of New York City.
