With a modest herd of registered Hereford cattle, a large flock of black-faced sheep, and the breeding of quarter horses, J. Willard was able to bring the farm, which had been known as "Fairfield," back to life over the next few years. Affectionate horseback rider and outdoorsman, J. It is described as the only example of 1920s art-deco architecture in downtown Lexington, and at six stories, it is also the tallest building in the downtown area.
