An abundance of unique details have been beautifully preserved throughout the building including the expansive patterned glass ceiling in the Great Hall, the Guastavino tile arches of the loggia, hundreds of mullioned glass windows, and exposed period ironwork. The second floor events complex includes a private arrival foyer and grand staircase, two separate pre-function rooms, and the 9,000 square foot Great Hall which accommodates up to 800 seated guests. Windowed pre-function spaces filled with natural light offer separate spaces for cocktails, ceremonies and breakout meetings, including a rare outdoor loggia spanning the full length of the building facade.   SmogShoppe, a former smog-check facility from the 1980s, is now a 6,500 square foot indoor/outdoor event space powered entirely by solar energy and a paradise for desert plants, vertical gardens, and sophisticated vintage furnishings. Live concerts, private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, and productions can all be held in the combined indoor and external areas. The floor plan of the venue can accommodate 250 people for live events and cocktail parties, 150 people for garden performances and ceremonies, and 150 people for formal sit-down dinners. SmogShoppe is conveniently located in the middle of the Culver City art/design district, just minutes from Santa Monica, LAX, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Downtown Los Angeles, and is easily accessible from the 10 highway. The vast courtyard area of SmogShoppe is a calm break and a pleasant surprise for visitors.   The La Jolla Woman's Club is a one-block walk from the beach in the heart of La Jolla Village. Weddings The ceremony garden in the south is beautiful, with colorful plantings and a decorative bridge. You can face the European style fountain or the old English oak tree in the front ceremonial garden. Floral balls or lanterns are commonly hung from the tree during rituals facing the tree. A third option is to face the ancient building's front doors, with the ceremony taking place in front of the famed arched arches. Our brides and grooms enjoy the use of our exclusive ladies and gentleman's lounges to relax with their attendants prior to the ceremony, whether it takes place on the adjacent seaside or within one of our gardens.
