The building sits in harmony with its natural surroundings, offering a soft transition from the vineyard to its lush, green grass exterior. Just as it honors the land, it honors the light. Great winemaking begins in the vineyard. When the founders created Opus One, they dreamed of a great wine that would transcend generations. Nearly four decades later, they continue to refine the complex subtleties of Opus One by honoring traditional methods and the continual pursuit of innovation and improvement. The estate vineyards of Opus One, comprised of four parcels, sit in the western portion of the famed Oakville AVA. Two parcels, totaling 100 acres, are within the renowned To Kalon Vineyard. These are complemented by the combined 70 acres of the Ballestra and River parcels, which envelop the winery. In the vineyards, hand-harvesting and other traditional approaches are taken wherever they work best. When modern techniques benefit the wine-growing process, they are researched, evaluated, and integrated into practice. During the day, you and your guests will eat, drink, and dance the hours away as the sun sets in a stunning display of color over the Pacific. The stars appear even brighter and more numerous after dark from this secluded vantage point, making for an unforgettable night sky experience. Catalina View Gardens is a difficult site to conceive of in California for an outdoor event. Catalina View Wines are also available for purchase to serve at your event or simply to enjoy on your own. The location is available for daily hire at a cost of $12,000 per day. A $2,000 refundable deposit is required in addition to the venue charge for damages, over-standard cleaning, and entertainment compliance. The venue charge is deducted from the deposit. All events must stop no later than 9:30 p.m., according to the stipulations of our permission. This means the music will be turned off, food and beverages will no longer be served, and visitors will begin to go. We can only allow DJs that are on our approved DJs list because of the noise limits.
