Donna's Premier Lodging is a privately owned romantic retreat in Berlin, Ohio, set in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country. Founded in 1991 by Donna Marie Golden, the property offers 17 accommodations — cedar log cabins nestled on wooded hillsides, chalets, cottages, villas, a sauna suite, and two bridal suites steps from downtown Berlin. Every accommodation includes an in-room jacuzzi for two and a gas fireplace, reflecting the property's focus on privacy and comfort for couples celebrating anniversaries, honeymoons, and special occasions. For couples planning an intimate wedding or elopement, the venue hosts ceremonies in two settings: an outdoor garden with a landscaped waterfall and gazebo (weather permitting), and an indoor option by the fireplace within a private accommodation. Ceremonies accommodate up to six guests, with packages starting at $275 and optional add-ons including floral arrangements, a couples massage, and catered breakfast.

Set in Dover, Ohio, the J. E. Reeves Victorian Home and Carriage House Museum occupies a Queen Anne-style mansion built around 1870 and remodeled between 1898 and 1901 for steel manufacturer Jeremiah E. Reeves. The 17- to 21-room home, topped by a third-floor ballroom, and its turreted Carriage House are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places and have been restored by the Dover Historical Society to their turn-of-the-century appearance, complete with the Reeves family's original furniture and antiques. Ceremonies and receptions can be held on the home's grounds and gardens, which are planted in the Victorian style with a formal rose garden, a butterfly habitat, and a large perennial border, using the mansion as a backdrop. The Carriage House, with its Richardsonian archway and displays including the family's 1892 carriage and a Rauch and Lang electric car, comfortably seats 72 guests and is rented for bridal and baby showers, graduation and birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, rehearsal dinners, and private dinners. A private ceremony can also be arranged inside the Reeves Home itself. Due to its historic character, the museum is not handicap accessible, and tours involve stairs and extensive walking throughout the home.

The Inn at Honey Run is an adult-only boutique resort set on 56 acres in Ohio's Amish Country, roughly two hours from Columbus, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Mountain Run Station is a 32-acre Geauga Park District park in Hambden Township, Ohio, serving as the gateway to the central section of The Maple Highlands Trail. The park's name recalls the hilly terrain of Geauga County, which reaches its peak nearby — the Lake Branch of the former Baltimore & Ohio Railroad that once passed through became known as "the mountain run." The setting is primarily open lawn with a retention pond, where pines near the parking area transition to maples deeper into the park and thickets shelter songbirds. Chardon Run Way, a 0.36-mile asphalt trail, keeps the grounds accessible for walking, biking, and cross-country skiing, and a free-to-use bicycle repair station donated by the Cleveland Touring Club stands ready for riders coming off the trail. For outdoor gatherings, the reservable Chardon Rotary Shelter accommodates up to 75 guests and comes equipped with 10 picnic tables, electrical outlets, and a grill, with vault-style restrooms nearby. Big Creek Park is a natural woodland preserve managed by the Geauga Park District in Chardon Township, Ohio. The park is bisected south to north by the scenic Big Creek, creating a landscape of varied relief through rich beech-maple forest, hemlock-lined ravines, and open meadows. A certified Monarch Waystation butterfly garden at the Donald W. Meyer Center draws pollinators throughout summer. Three reservable gathering spaces accommodate private events ranging from small group outings to larger celebrations. The Deep Woods Lodge is a fully enclosed indoor facility with a covered outdoor canopy extension, hosting up to 71 guests. Aspen Grove Shelter offers an open-air covered structure for up to 75 guests with electrical outlets, picnic tables, and a grill. Wood's Tall Timber Resort spans 157 acres in New Philadelphia, Ohio, built around a 7-acre lake that serves as the property's focal point.
