The Roy H. Smith Shelterhouse is an enclosed gathering facility within Fred Fuller Park, the City of Kent's largest park, spanning more than 56 acres along the Cuyahoga River. The shelterhouse serves as a flexible private-event venue for receptions, birthday celebrations, and community gatherings, alongside its role hosting Kent Parks and Recreation's Lil' Learners Preschool and Summer Camp programs. The facility accommodates up to 60 guests, with eight eight-foot tables and 60 chairs provided. Amenities include a refrigerator, countertop, sink, restrooms, and climate control. Rental availability opens six months in advance, with weekday and weekend time slots available through Kent Parks and Recreation.

Happy Days Lodge sits within Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Peninsula, Ohio — about 30 minutes from both Cleveland and Akron. Built in 1938 by Civilian Conservation Corps Company 576, the lodge is considered one of the world's largest structures constructed from wormy American chestnut, with a sandstone floor and fireplaces hewn from locally quarried Berea Sandstone. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and represents a distinctive example of CCC "parkitecture," characterized by horizontal lines, low silhouettes, and the use of natural regional materials. The centerpiece of the lodge is the 4,000-square-foot Great Hall, which accommodates up to 200 seated guests beneath exposed beams and a mason jar chandelier. A screened-in porch adjoins the hall, looking out over a rolling meadow. Surrounding grounds provide access to miles of trails within the national park, making Happy Days Lodge well suited to weddings, meetings, retreats, and private celebrations of all kinds. Unity of Massillon (formerly Unity Church of Truth) sits on six wooded acres in Jackson Township, near Massillon, Ohio, serving the greater Canton-Massillon area. The congregation traces back to a study group formed in the early 1900s, incorporated as the Unity Society in 1931, and settled at its present Wales Avenue location in 1976. The church hosts weddings, christenings, and celebrations of life, along with baby showers, wedding showers, recitals, reunions, and birthday parties. Its sanctuary seats up to 85 guests and includes a grand piano for live musical accompaniment. A chair lift installed in 2011 gives guests with mobility challenges access from the side parking lot directly into the lower level and up to the sanctuary. The grounds also include a Memorial Garden near the main entrance, a quiet space surrounded by memorial bricks for reflection.
