Nelson Lodge sits at the highest point on the Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center property in Bangor, Pennsylvania, perched on the Kittatinny Ridge with views over the surrounding countryside and Pocono foothills. It's the uppermost of Kirkridge's rental facilities, built for groups of 16 to 27 people gathering for retreats, meetings, and private events between mid-March and mid-December. Both the meeting room and dining room take in scenic mountain views and sunsets, and the group can gather around a large stone fireplace in the dining room or spread out on a wooden deck. Old School Farm at Dyberry Wilds is a working farm and forest property along Dyberry Creek in the Upper Pocono Mountains of Honesdale, Pennsylvania. The land's roots as a farmstead reach back to a house built in 1925 by dairy farmers Friend and Carrie Walter, later moved up the hill in 1957 to escape the valley's flood zone; the property was renamed Old School Farm in 2001 and has continued under family stewardship since 2021. Today the farm hosts weddings, family reunions, and small group retreats for up to 130 guests in a relaxed, informal, outdoor setting. Events draw on the property's Amish-built timber frame barn, a dining pavilion with an adjacent party tent, the farmhouse's first floor for the wedding party, and a stage and fire pit for gathering.
