Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum occupies the historic William Scarbrough House, a landmark antebellum mansion built in 1819 for one of the principal investors behind the first steam-powered transatlantic crossing. Located in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, the museum houses a collection of ship models, paintings, and maritime antiques from the great era of Atlantic trade in the 18th and 19th centuries.
