Mountain Home Inn is a historic 10-room boutique hotel and event venue perched on the Mt. Tamalpais ridgeline in Mill Valley, California — just 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Built in 1912 by Swiss-German founders who surveyed the mountain to find its most scenic vantage point, the inn sits 900 feet above the village of Mill Valley with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco Bay, and the canopy of Muir Woods below. It is the only commercial property permitted on Mt. Tamalpais, a distinction that reflects both its historic status and enduring connection to this iconic landscape. In this chamber, a great deal of Fairfax magic has taken place! Rear alcove in the main dining room: Our back alcove is perfect for hosting an informal function, such as a rehearsal dinner, for bigger groups. Sorensdale Recreation Center is a community event venue in Hayward, California, operated by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Located at 275 Goodwin Street in a quiet cul-de-sac setting near Tennyson High School, the center underwent a full renovation in 2016 and now offers a modern, welcoming environment for private events. The main hall accommodates up to 130 guests and features 20-foot ceilings, large windows that fill the space with natural light, and a commercial kitchen equipped with stainless steel surfaces. A stage and on-site parking round out the facility's event amenities. Sorensdale Recreation Center is available for a wide range of private gatherings — weddings, receptions, auctions, theatrical performances, and community celebrations alike. Rental hours run Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday, 9 AM to 8 PM, with a three-hour minimum.
