The Zebulon B. Vance Birthplace State Historic Site sits in the Reems Creek Valley, about 12 miles northeast of Asheville near Weaverville, North Carolina. The site preserves a pioneer mountain plantation from the early 1800s, featuring seven historic and reconstructed buildings — including a two-story log cabin homestead and an original 1790s slave dwelling — alongside a visitor center with interactive exhibits that interpret daily life in the Blue Ridge Mountains during that era. For private events, the site offers an outdoor picnic shelter and adjacent 1/6-acre field, set against panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The outdoor rental area accommodates up to 150 guests and is available during normal operating hours as well as outside those hours when staffing allows. Admission to the site is free, and the venue is open Tuesday through Saturday.

The Altamont Theatre is a live music, wedding, and private event venue situated on Church Street in the heart of downtown Asheville's Historic District. Built in 1895 and restored after decades of vacancy, the building is the first fully LEED certified renovation in downtown Asheville and received the 2011 Griffin Award for Adaptive Re-Use. Six furnished condo suites on the upper floors provide on-site overnight accommodation for wedding parties and guests. The venue is wheelchair accessible throughout, with elevator access between levels. From rehearsal dinners and wedding ceremonies to receptions and commitment ceremonies, The Altamont Theatre brings historic character, proven acoustics, and practical amenities to events of all sizes.
