After the successful campaign to legalize medical cannabis in 2008, activist attorney Matthew Abel purchased the building in Detroit's Rivertown District as a home for Cannabis Counsel® Law Firm, the oldest and first cannabis only law firm in the country. Founded in 1953, the campus has grown from a cut-flower greenhouse into a destination that pairs a working nursery, tropical greenhouse, and full-service floral studio with several distinct event spaces. The Venues at Goldner Walsh accommodate weddings, showers, corporate parties, and other private gatherings. The Cedar House hosts receptions and parties for up to 100 guests, while the Gardens & Amphitheater extends across nine acres of outdoor grounds for ceremonies and receptions of up to 200. The Celebration Space — a glass-ceilinged greenhouse room with lush foliage and earthy stonework — accommodates up to 200 guests for receptions, parties, and dances. An in-house floral design team is available on-site for custom event arrangements.

The Lafayette Grande is a multi-ballroom banquet and event facility in Pontiac, Michigan, with more than 28 years of experience hosting weddings, galas, quinceañeras, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate parties, charity fundraisers, and luncheons. Four distinct event spaces — The Crystal Ballroom, The Grande Ballroom, The Lafayette Ballroom, and The Speakeasy Lounge — accommodate gatherings from intimate parties of fewer than 100 guests to large-scale receptions of up to 500. The Crystal Ballroom seats up to 350 beneath crystal chandeliers, with tiered seating and a spacious stage. The Grande Ballroom, the facility's flagship space at 4,000 square feet, spans two floors and features hardwood floors, a mezzanine, and dual bars. The Lafayette Ballroom, newly renovated, offers an elegant gold-draped setting for up to 200. The Speakeasy Lounge brings a Prohibition-era aesthetic to intimate gatherings of up to 100. All events are handled in-house: The Lafayette Grande provides food, bar service, staff, tables, chairs, and linens, with no outside catering or beverages permitted. The Management Education Center (MEC) is a full-service conference center on 25-plus acres in Troy, Michigan, roughly 20 miles north of Detroit. Dedicated in 1975 through the generosity of Southeast Michigan's major automotive and industrial leaders — including Chrysler, General Motors, and Ford Motor Company — the center was donated to Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business and has served the regional business community ever since. The facility offers more than 25,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space across a range of settings: a 385-seat auditorium with theater-style fixed seating and a private projection booth, two tiered amphitheaters accommodating up to 100 guests each, formal dining rooms for up to 304 guests that can be subdivided into three separate sections, and an outdoor North Patio suited to receptions and vehicle displays.
