Rio Pinar Golf is a historic country club and event venue in Orlando, Florida, established in 1957 and rooted in golf's golden age. The club hosted 17 PGA and LPGA Tour events over the years, including the Florida Citrus Open from 1966 to 1978 — a tournament that later evolved into the Arnold Palmer Invitational — with past participants including Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Julius Boros, and Hale Irwin. Built in 1871 by European wine merchant Frederick deBary, the 8,000-square-foot main lodge is recognized as the oldest intact building in southwest Volusia County and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The estate once played host to Presidents Grant and Cleveland, as well as the Astor, Gould, and Vanderbilt families, lending the grounds a distinctive sense of history and grandeur.
