Camp Ithiel is a Christian camp and retreat center situated on twenty acres in Gotha, Florida, between Ocoee and Windermere near Orlando. Established in 1948 as an outdoor ministry of the Atlantic Southeast District Church of the Brethren, the property has served youth campers and rental groups alike for more than seven decades. The facility includes several distinct gathering spaces available for retreats, meetings, banquets, and weddings. The Kramer Dining Center seats up to 180 guests and converts from a full dining hall to an open assembly area. The historic Chapel accommodates 100 guests and features a piano, organ, and stage, making it a natural fit for ceremonies and intimate gatherings. DeBary Country Club is a semi-private golf and event club set on an 18-hole championship course in DeBary, Florida, between Orlando and Daytona Beach. Designed by Lloyd Clifton and rated four stars by Golf Digest, the course has served as a U.S. Open Qualifying site and is certified by the National Audubon Society as a natural habitat. The club's banquet facilities accommodate events of varying scales, with indoor space for up to 230 guests and an outdoor setting for approximately 150. The interior event room overlooks the golf course through large windows, and the outdoor areas offer views of the surrounding landscape and lake. In the newly renovated, 1,000 square foot bridal suite, not a single detail has been overlooked for the benefit of our brides as they get ready for their special day. The suite features a sizable living area with an abundance of seating and three separate vanity stations for each guest. Relax and unwind in the tastefully appointed bedroom and bathroom while enjoying mimosas and brunch in the kitchenette. The bedroom and bathroom are also tastefully appointed. In addition to all of that, the suite comes complete with its very own PRIVATE POOL. Imagine spending a few hours basking in the sun with your bridesmaids before your big day and how relaxing that would be! Grooms, don't worry; we've got you covered... Relax with your groomsmen in the game room, which features a billiard table, two televisions measuring 58 inches each, a sitting and bar area, and an outdoor putting green. Prepare for the day in the spacious dressing room that is attached and features a private bathroom. Our breathtaking outdoor ceremony location is tucked away beneath an oak tree that is well over a hundred years old. This tree provides a canopy of shade for your guests and a picture-perfect setting for your photographs. As you make your grand entrance through the vintage double doors onto the paved ceremony site, which features a platform so that all of your guests will have a wonderful view of you tying the knot, the ceremony site will be ready for you to begin. There is room for up to 150 guests in the area designated for the ceremony, and white garden chairs are provided. A nearby pergola is available for use for serving drinks prior to the ceremony as well as for hosting live music during the event. Guests have the option of partaking in outdoor activities such as drinking a beverage or playing a game while the bride and groom are off taking photographs at one of the many picturesque locations located on the premises. The cocktail area is covered and features a total of six high-top tables in addition to expansive paved areas that are surrounded by trees. In addition, guests are welcome to explore the grounds and take their own one-of-a-kind photographs. James Laughlin, the owner of J&L Steel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, had it constructed in 1883, and in 1903, the well-known architect Grosvenor Atterbury had it remodeled so that it could serve as his winter retreat. It was modeled after Alhambra Castle in Spain and was constructed in the Mediterranean Revival and Asian styles. It featured citrus groves, sculptured gardens with rare plants from around the world, a dairy farm, a power plant, and even a bowling alley. In the past, Sydonie was a preserve that encompassed 9,000 acres. The mansion reflects an era of craftsmanship that is difficult to find in contemporary homes because it has 13 fireplaces, 11 bathrooms, and 13 bedrooms. Additionally, the mansion has beautiful handcrafted wooden moldings throughout.
