Andover Barn sits on 7 acres in East Andover, New Hampshire, adjacent to a 21-acre nature preserve with views of Highland Lake and Kearsarge Mountain. The 1902 post-and-beam barn is original to the property — its wood floors, exposed beams, and 16 Vermont brass chandeliers intact — while a 200-year-old stained glass transom brings natural light above the main entrance. The barn accommodates up to 100 guests for weddings and private celebrations, with a large pavilion extension providing additional gathering space for cocktail hours and receptions. The adjacent Highland Lake Inn, a 1767 gentleman's farmhouse, offers on-site lodging, getting-ready suites, and lounges for the wedding party — keeping the entire event on a single historic property. Andover Barn limits bookings to 15 weddings per year, allowing an in-house Event Manager to give each event close attention. Couples have full flexibility to bring their own caterer, bar service, rental company, florist, photographer, and entertainment — no required packages and no in-house vendor fees.

The Summit Resort sits in New Hampshire's Lakes Region, within walking distance of Lake Winnipesaukee in Laconia. The resort's dedicated Function Room is built for private events — panoramic windows and a private deck open onto views of Paugus Bay, and a full bar anchors cocktail hours and receptions. Catering is provided through a partnership with Hart's Restaurant. Guests attending events at The Summit Resort have full access to the resort's amenity center, which includes indoor and outdoor pools, a Roman spa and saunas, a fitness center, and a variety of sport courts. Brewster Academy, a private boarding school in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, opens its lakefront campus each summer for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private events. Set on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, the campus combines historic character with a newly completed event center, offering clients a distinctive setting in the Lakes Region from June through August. The Pinckney Boathouse anchors the waterfront offering, seating up to 86 guests for dinner or 115 in reception style. A rustic stone fireplace, staging room, and wraparound covered porch give the space warmth and flexibility, while the adjacent Palazzo Field provides room for tented ceremonies and larger celebrations. The Grayson Center, completed in 2023 with award-winning architecture, accommodates up to 180 guests in a large multi-purpose room and features floor-to-ceiling views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Mountains, a full commercial kitchen, an in-house sound system, and an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace.

The main dining room — built around a magnificent two-story stone fireplace, vaulted ceiling, and hand-hewn beams and stone — sets a distinctive rustic tone that carries through the entire property. The Peanut Pub rounds out the everyday experience with one of the largest draft beer systems in the area, featuring 35 selections on tap. For private events, The Red Blazer offers two dedicated spaces: the Fox Den, a fully private room suited for gatherings of up to 42, and The Highlands, a second-floor space with a private bar accommodating up to 100 guests. Set just a mile from Gunstock Mountain Resort in the heart of the Lakes Region, the property carries historic character throughout — most notably in its country tavern, where a wood-burning fireplace and antique furnishings evoke the inn's early years. For private events, the inn offers an indoor gathering space accommodating up to 120 guests, suited for weddings, anniversary celebrations, reunions, and holiday parties. An outdoor lawn adjoins the property, providing open views of Lake Winnipesaukee as a backdrop for ceremonies and receptions. A rear fire garden patio extends the outdoor experience with views of the Ossipee Mountain Range. Rochester Elks Lodge #1393 has served Rochester, New Hampshire — known locally as the Lilac City — for more than 125 years. The centerpiece of the facility is a smoke-free function hall that seats up to 400 guests, featuring a stage, professional sound system, adjustable lighting, and state-of-the-art ventilation and climate control. The hall is a regular home for weddings, showers, fundraisers, and large-scale community gatherings. The lodge also offers a full bar and lounge with a newly constructed bar and wide-screen television, a renovated full-service kitchen, and a seasonal outdoor recreation area used for clambakes and warm-weather events.

Murphy's Taproom, an Irish Restaurant and Taproom, opened its doors in Manchester, New Hampshire, in April 2007. The Taproom, which has a casual, pub-like atmosphere, has 120 taps of draft beer, making it the largest selection in the state. Keith Murphy and his family have expanded the restaurant since opening, adding a separate room for functions and live music, a two-story deck with seating for over 350 people, and a popular diner next door that serves breakfast and lunch until 3 p.m. seven days a week. Residents of Bedford and proprietors Keith Murphy were on the lookout for the ideal location in which to open a second location in the city. Murphy's Restaurant in Bedford, New Hampshire, has been in business since July of this year. Our regular happenings throughout the month are a great addition to our special events and are suitable for guests of all ages.
