Timber Hill Farm is a farm-to-table wedding and event venue on Meetinghouse Hill in Gilford, New Hampshire, in the heart of the Lakes Region. The property has been farmed continuously since 1784 — one of the earliest homestead farms in the region — and includes a structure built in 1789 that still stands on its original foundation. In 2015, Isaac and Jennifer Howe transformed the working farm into an event venue; the Forsyth Family Farm now manages farming operations through a conservation partnership with Land for Good. At the heart of the property is the Howe Barn, a timber-framed structure built from scratch using mature white pine harvested from the farm's own forests, then milled, fitted, and raised on site by Andy and Isaac Howe alongside master timber framer Trevor Kupetz. The open-concept barn accommodates up to 180 guests and offers sweeping views of Lake Winnipesaukee and New Hampshire's Presidential Range. Timber Hill Farm hosts one event per week, giving each gathering the full attention of the property. Rentals include tables, seating, and a Wedding Pantry of loaner décor — vintage crates, candle holders, rustic wood pieces, and signage. Flag Hill Distillery & Winery is a family-owned, 110-acre agricultural estate in Lee, New Hampshire, recognized as the state's oldest winery, largest vineyard, and oldest distillery. Grape growing began on the property in 1987, winery operations followed in 1990, and in 2004 the estate opened a distillery — the first legal distillery in New Hampshire since Prohibition. The acreage is permanently preserved under a conservation easement, and the property's own gardens and crops supply ingredients for the on-site kitchen throughout the year. Two distinct settings serve private events: a tented vineyard venue accommodating up to 300 guests for ceremonies and receptions set among the vine rows, and a restored post-and-beam barn suited to more intimate gatherings of up to 80. Operated by the Colburn Family for over 75 years, the resort features 19 private lake homes ranging from two to five bedrooms — each with direct lake access and private docks — making it a destination venue where wedding parties and guests can gather for a full weekend rather than a single evening. Weddings unfold across several settings on the property. Ceremonies take place on the resort's private beach, with receptions held under a heated 40' x 80' tent featuring a granite floor and lakefront views for up to 150 guests. A dedicated rehearsal dinner tent and a post-wedding farewell breakfast round out the weekend, alongside on-site coordination and a preferred vendor list for catering, photography, and entertainment. Year-round amenities — including an indoor pool, hot tub, game room, kayaks, paddleboards, fishing boats, a pontoon, and pickleball courts — give guests plenty to enjoy beyond the event itself. In winter, the property supports ice skating, snowshoeing, and pond hockey directly on site.
