Founded in 2015, the Willow Ballroom at the River Road Exchange is located on the gorgeous, Sacramento Delta. The Willow Ballroom is about 15 miles south of downtown Sacramento in the town of Hood, CA. Our story began over the last hundred years when the River Road Exchange was home to a bustling fruit shipping and processing facility. Now repurposed into an event center, the Willow Ballroom is open and booking: weddings, private events and much more! At approximately 11,000 square feet, the capacity is around 600 people, which makes it one of the largest venues in the Sacramento area. The exterior is urban with beautiful brick walls, and the interior has a vaulted, wood ceiling with exposed brick walls, cement pillars and a mix of eclectic chandeliers. The Barn at Second Wind is a private event venue set on 6 acres of landscaped grounds along River Road, about 15 minutes south of downtown Sacramento. At the entrance stands an 80-year-old Heritage Valley Oak tree, and the centerpiece of the property is a 1940s galvanized metal barn offering 1,800 square feet of event space with polished cement floors, exposed wooden beams, and an original 1940s chandelier. The property accommodates up to 130 guests and provides multiple ceremony settings, including a spot beneath the heritage oak or under a wrought iron arch. Guests gather on the back patio among hay bales between ceremony and reception, and seasonal scenery — spring mustard fields and nearby riverside railroad tracks — adds to the venue's character. The barn's interior is appointed with hand-built 14-foot wooden tables and a curated inventory of décor and vintage furnishings available to couples. An on-site manager coordinates with vendors throughout the event, and exclusive use of the property is included. Florin Creek Recreation Center is a community event facility operated by the Southgate Recreation & Park District, located at 7460 Persimmon Avenue in Sacramento, California. Remodeled in 2009, the center sits on 12.6 acres of park space in South Sacramento and is available for weddings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, family reunions, large meetings, outdoor concerts, and similar private gatherings. The main hall accommodates up to 120 guests for banquets and up to 150 in an assembly layout. A large rear deck extends the usable event space outdoors, and the grounds include an outdoor amphitheater, playgrounds, and soccer fields. The interior features recessed lighting, and the facility is equipped with a kitchen and audio/visual capabilities. Opened in 1983 and named after Philippine patriot and physician Jose P. Rizal, the center was originally envisioned to serve the Filipino community and has grown into a versatile gathering space for the broader Sacramento area. The center's main activity hall features polished wood flooring, bleachers, indoor and outdoor stages, and a scoreboard — making it well-suited for weddings, banquets, dances, birthday parties, sports events, and meetings. The facility accommodates up to 350 guests and includes a well-appointed kitchen, a lobby area, a small meeting and changing room, and audio-visual capabilities throughout. The Barbara Morse Wackford Community and Aquatic Complex is a 43,000-square-foot community and event facility located at 9014 Bruceville Road in Elk Grove, California, adjacent to Laguna Community Park. Operated by the Cosumnes Community Services District, the complex opened in August 2004 and serves guests of all ages with a full range of recreation and event programming. The Valley Oak Ballroom serves as the complex's flagship event space, accommodating up to 200 guests for dining and 250 for theater-style events. It features a half-radius glass wall, high ceilings, a fully equipped catering kitchen, and a gated outdoor patio with furnished round tables, chairs, and umbrellas.
