Originally opened in 1920, the venue has long served as an entertainment and cultural destination for the San Gabriel Valley. In December 2022, the City of Covina acquired the theater to preserve it as a performing arts space and anchor for the city's downtown district. Today, the center operates as a creative performing arts hub offering comedy shows, theater productions, musicals, and private event rentals.
