The Woodlea Clubhouse was once a Vanderbilt Mansion that was constructed in 1892 and held by Colonel Elliot Fitch Shephard. Colonel Shephard was the founder of the New York Bar Association as well as the proprietor of the journal Mail and Express. 1910 saw the purchase of the mansion by Frank Vanderlip and William Rockefeller. The following year, 1911, saw the establishment of the Sleepy Hollow Country Club by a board of directors that included John Jacob Astor IV, Cornelius Vanderbilt III, Edward Julius Berwind, and a number of other notable individuals. The Sleepy Hollow Country Club has seen several improvements and transformations throughout the course of its history, propelling it to the position of being one of the best-rated golf courses and country clubs not only in New York, but also in the United States. We provide a sophisticated location for events such as weddings, family get-togethers, holiday parties, and business meetings. In addition, we host corporate outings that include activities such as golf, tennis, and swimming. When it comes to supper and dance, our Club House can host up to 240 guests. In addition to being located at the top of the hotel's grand staircase, the private DELAMAR Boardroom is also easily accessible from both the Library and the restaurant. The DELAMAR Boardroom in Greenwich, Connecticut, is an ideal setting for high-level corporate meetings because of its discreet location and capacity of up to sixteen participants. The Dutchess Manor was originally built as a private residence for the Timoney family in the 1860’s and was a show piece Hudson River estate of the period. Our current catering business has been in constant successful operation, under the guidance of the Coris family, since the mid 1940’s. Cascade Fine Catering is a family-owned wedding and event venue in Hamden, Connecticut, founded in 2004 by Pietro and Antonietta Landino. Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. is located in Westchester County, New York, only a short drive north of New York City, and is the region's largest craft brewery, producing more than 28,000 barrels of beer per year. Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, founded in 2006 by Scott Vaccaro, produces a diverse range of beer genres, creating as many as one hundred different brands in a single year. Within a few years of launching, the brewery began to achieve significant recognition for their sour and barrel-aged beers, and in 2007 they received their first of nine GABF gold. Apart from award-winning sour beers, Captain Lawrence is well-known for brewing incredibly fresh India pale ales, highly palatable lagers, and a wide range of specialized craft beers, many of which have won awards. Tarrywile Mansion is a 23-room Victorian estate built in 1897 for Dr. William Conrad Wile, a prominent Danbury physician, on the grounds of what is now a 722-acre municipal park. Designed in the Shingle Style by the New York firm Child and DeGoll, the mansion features a wrap-around veranda, grand entrance hall with sweeping staircase, and a glass conservatory — added in the early 1900s by subsequent owner Charles Darling Parks — that now serves as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since reopening in 1990 as a community and event center, the mansion has hosted weddings, milestone celebrations, corporate gatherings, and private parties. Full house rentals include the first floor — encompassing the living room, drawing room, library, dining room, kitchen, and veranda — along with second-floor bridal and groom's suites. The mansion accommodates up to 120 guests for a seated dinner or buffet and up to 150 for a standing cocktail reception.
