Set on 25 lushly wooded acres, this gorgeous, family-owned venue offers a serene setting for your celebration. A cozy, two-bedroom cabin, hidden away from the rest of the property, is the perfect place for wedding party prep. The Chapel, which was meticulously re-crafted from the wood of a 1908 church, is nestled among towering oak, cedar elm, bois d’arc and cedar trees. Bright windows flood the space with light and bring the outside in, illuminating the whitewashed wood interior and lofted ceiling. The Party Hall echoes the Chapel’s airy vibes, with its reclaimed wood construction, walls of windows, and crisp white exterior. Sliding glass doors allow the party to flow outside, where glowing bistro lights create a festive atmosphere among the trees.

Flying V Ranch is a 450-acre working cattle ranch just outside Decatur, Texas, neighboring the LBJ National Grasslands. The property has belonged to the Warner family for three generations, and the venue took shape when mother-daughter team Sherry and Page Warner chose to open the ranch to weddings and private events after the loss of the family patriarch. The Reception Hall occupies the ranch's original auction barn, keeping its white shiplap walls, wood floors, and industrial beams alongside a chandelier for a mix of rustic Texas character and polish; it offers an indoor seated capacity of 280, with many adjacent outdoor spaces available for expansion. Just outside, an Outdoor Chapel opens through freestanding cathedral doors onto 360-degree ranch views, with white wooden pews, an arched pavilion with a working bell, and a pond backdrop. A Cocktail Garden strung with overhead lights, a central fountain, biergarten-style tables, and a fire pit rounds out the grounds, and a Covered Pavilion adapts easily to lounge, dining, ceremony, or dance-floor use. We purchased our Paradise home eight years ago with the intention of retiring there eventually. Our daughter urged us to build a wedding barn when she got engaged. The family spent a year preparing the location for the event, and it was even given the name Wedding Hill. Even in the midst of a torrential downpour, the couple's wedding under the massive oak tree overlooking the pond was breathtaking. We knew we wanted to host a lot more weddings on our property, but we also realized we'd need a building to do it. Every element and decision has been carefully considered, from the oak tree that inspired our emblem to the site of the barn next to the pond. We consider ourselves fortunate to have been given this chance, and we want others to benefit from it as well. We are dedicated to helping and giving back to the community in which we live.
