Steeple Hall occupies the second floor of Mission Oak Grill, housed in a converted Baptist church in historic Newburyport, Massachusetts. The building dates to 1805, and its cathedral ceilings, stained glass details, and floor-to-ceiling windows give the space a character suited to weddings and private celebrations. A 2002 renovation preserved the historic architecture while adding contemporary updates including new flooring, a refreshed bar, and a greenery wall. With capacity for up to 180 seated guests, Steeple Hall is the only wedding venue in Newburyport able to host that size of event comfortably. The space scales from 25-person corporate meetings to full receptions, and accommodates cocktail parties and private dinners of various sizes in between. A private outdoor patio offers a garden setting for up to 35 guests, and a Farmers Table in the main dining room provides a more intimate option for groups of up to 18. The venue is fully handicap accessible, air-conditioned, and equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi and a wireless microphone. Rivermill at Dover Landing occupies the Picker Building in historic downtown Dover, New Hampshire — a structure dating to the nineteenth century, when bales of raw cotton arrived by gundalow along the Cochecho River to be cleaned and processed into the calico and fine fabrics that made Dover a textile center of its era. The building's 1800s brick-and-beam bones have been thoughtfully restored, preserving lofted windows, rugged pillars, and hardwood floors while creating a setting that holds both character and quiet intimacy. The event loft accommodates anywhere from 75 to 350 guests under a flexible open floorplan, suited to weddings, corporate gatherings, banquets, fundraisers, tradeshows, holiday parties, and concerts alike. Tall arched windows carry views of the Cochecho River, Henry Law Park, and Dover's historic City Hall clock tower. Included in each rental: tables, chairs, a 16- by 20-foot dance floor, a bridal suite, and valet parking on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. On the main floor, two Community Rooms — Room A and Room B — can be reserved individually or combined into a single larger space. The Phoenix Room occupies the entire third floor of a historic building in the heart of downtown Newburyport, Massachusetts. Recently restored to its Federal-era character, the space features a magnificent brass chandelier, original working fireplaces, hardwood floors, and thirteen six-foot-high windows that frame exceptional views of the surrounding historic district. A high arched ceiling and an abundance of natural light complete the setting. Suited to weddings, private parties, and corporate events, The Phoenix Room accommodates up to 120 guests for a plated dinner, 110 for a buffet, and 140 for a cocktail celebration. Catering is provided by Harborside Catering, the full-service team behind Michael's Harborside restaurant in Newburyport.
