Owner Randi Lee named his first independent restaurant after his great-uncle Leland Chin who settled his family in Oregon in the 1930s. Leland made a great success of his Portland restaurant Chin's Kitchen, building strong community through food, culture and storytelling. Leland Eating and Drinking House continues the family tradition of convivial hospitality providing a gathering place where neighbors can relax, unwind and be well-fed. Leland's New York Mediterranean cuisine is local and natural featuring in-house curing along with the preservation of local food and beverage. We pickle veggies, dry-age meats, and bake bread right in our kitchen. We buy fresh and make exactly what we need, with as little waste as possible. Our food aims to highlight the quality of organic, local ingredients while providing dishes that make you feel like home.

The terracotta building features its original stained-glass windows from the club establishment in 1889. The interior features two event spaces: the Dining Room and the Ballroom. About Brooklyn Grange: Founded in 2010, Brooklyn Grange is the leading rooftop farming and intensive green roofing business in the US, operating the world’s largest rooftop soil farms, located in New York City. Our rooftop farms in Brooklyn span almost 5 acres and produce over 80,000 lbs of organically-grown vegetables per year. We sell our produce at farmers markets and through our sliding scale CSA program. Through our Equitable Distribution Program, nearly 60% of our annual yields are distributed to New Yorkers at no or low cost. Our Event Space: We invite you to celebrate at our beautiful, 3.2 acre rooftop farm in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. A bluestone path leads to two outdoor patios and our climate-controlled, 3,000 sq. ft. indoor event space. Flexible for private dinners, offsite team meetings, and group retreats year-round, floor-to-ceiling windows showcase views of the New York Harbor and Statue of Liberty by day. After golden hour, watch the blaze of sunset give way to the glittering lights of the Manhattan skyline. Located in New York City, The Love Shack is a surreal photographic location and event space. Alexander and Brittany Love designed and built two life-size dollhouses inside an abandoned industrial building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. A large majority of the pieces of furniture and lighting you see are either original designs, or they have been restored and modified from their original forms. Some of our pieces, such as our one-of-a-kind lighting designs and The Library Chair, are available for purchase. In addition to photoshoots, small corporate events like cocktail parties, weddings, and other intimate gatherings, the Love Shack can be used as a performance space or as a screening room. Located at 123 Kingston Avenue in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, Meat’s architecture and design reflect both the neighborhood’s storied past and exciting future. Sharing a corner with the famous Kingston Lounge, the restaurant’s muted, taupe detailing complements the foundational walls of an archetypal Brooklyn brownstone. Immediately inside, an elegantly contemporary bar and lounge seating area is enclosed by tasteful marble tiling. Meat’s main seating area includes armchair and banquette seating, and large windows to enjoy Brooklyn’s unique scenery. Above, the ceiling’s angular, wood panels invite the observer forward into a final seating area. This private dining room juxtaposes an exposed brick accent wall with living ivy and a modern glass ceiling that draws in historic Brooklyn. Both dining areas eschew conventional design, instead featuring marble and walnut tabletops, hand-crafted stone dishes, and radiant brass lighting; a relaxing twist on traditional fine dining. Classic and contemporary continue to meet in the downstairs kitchen, where a state-of-the-art cooking facility neighbors a vintage meat curing and aging room and subway tiled walls, another ode to New York’s rich history.
