The Normandale Japanese Garden is a 2-acre strolling garden on the campus of Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota. Designed by Tokyo-based architect Takao Watanabe and built between 1972 and 1976 through a community effort led by the Bloomington Affiliated Garden Clubs, the garden features an entry gate and garden wall, a waterfall, two shelters, three islands, three lanterns, four bridges, and a hexagonal Bentendo structure. More than 300 Minnesota-hardy plants were selected to survive the region's winters, and the garden follows traditional Japanese design principles with restrained use of flowering plants and an emphasis on green tones and texture. Open from spring through fall, sunrise to sunset, the garden serves as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies and photography. Commercial photographers conducting paid sessions are required to obtain a photo permit. The garden operates as a public space throughout the season and does not accept private reservations.

The University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum spans 1,200 acres in Chaska, Minnesota, and has welcomed visitors since its founding in 1958. As a public garden operated by the University of Minnesota, the Arboretum is home to 28 specialty gardens, 44 plant collections, and more than 5,900 plant species — including the Honeycrisp apple and more than 160 cold-hardy plant varieties developed through the Arboretum's own research program. For private events, the Arboretum offers indoor and outdoor spaces suited to weddings, corporate gatherings, memorials, and private celebrations. Indoor venues in the Snyder Building and Oswald Visitor Center range from intimate rooms for small groups to full-building buyouts for up to 256 guests. Founded by winemaker Billy Smith, who cultivated cold-climate Marquette grapevines and developed his craft using skin-fermentation techniques rooted in Georgian winemaking tradition, the venue produces and serves its own wines on-site alongside events. With more than 50 years of experience hosting celebrations, the organization provides a variety of outdoor settings — from a serene forest garden with a waterfall to grand open-air stages with elaborate architectural backdrops — accommodating intimate gatherings of a dozen guests up to large weddings of 300 or more. Couples may choose between non-festival weddings, held when the grounds are closed and offering access to all outdoor ceremony stages alongside the Bad Manor reception space, or festival weddings, which take place during active Renaissance Festival weekends and include ceremony and reception packages with complimentary admission tickets, royal toasts, and coordination support. Noerenberg Memorial Gardens sits on the shore of Crystal Bay along Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata, Minnesota, and is widely regarded as one of the finest formal gardens in the state. The grounds trace back to the 1890 estate of the founder of Grain Belt Brewery, later converted to a public park in 1972 and now managed by Three Rivers Park District. Accessible brick pathways wind through plantings of perennials, annuals, ornamental shade trees, conifers, and Northern Lights azaleas, leading to a lakeside ornamental gazebo with views over the water. The gardens are available for weddings, photography sessions, and special events. The donation terms governing the property prohibit food, beverages, and pets on the grounds.

The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA) is an accredited nonprofit institution in Minneapolis dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting the visual art of Russia. Founded in 2002 by collectors Raymond and Susan Johnson, the museum moved to its current home on Stevens Avenue in 2005 — a Spanish Colonial-Revival structure originally built as the Mayflower Congregational Church.
