White Pines Golf Club is a Bensenville Park District facility set on more than 260 acres of maintained grounds west of Chicago. A fixture in the Chicago area since 1928, the club has evolved from its origins as an 18-hole course into a full-service event destination with two spaces designed for private celebrations. The Banquet Room accommodates up to 240 guests and features vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wrap-around balcony overlooking the golf course, pond, and water features. It is well suited for wedding receptions, corporate dinners, and milestone events where guests can take in course views throughout the evening. The Pavilion is a climate-controlled permanent outdoor tent available from May through September, accommodating up to 300 guests. The Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall occupies a 2007-renovated historic building at 31 South Ellsworth Street in Naperville, Illinois — a former church that North Central College transformed into an intimate performing arts venue. The theatre's thrust stage configuration seats 229 guests across the main floor and balcony, creating an up-close atmosphere well suited to musical productions, plays, speaker events, panel discussions, and private ceremonies. The building is named in honor of Judy G. Meiley Swallow Stevenson, an entrepreneur, North Central College life trustee, and generous benefactor to the college. Abbey Farms is unique. We are not like the other farms - we like to think that our guests step back in time a few years.... We offer something a little different than the other farms - no Fall season haunting themes, no electronic games, just clean old-fashioned outdoor family and group fun. All of our events are fundraisers for the Monks of Marmion Abbey. All proceeds from Abbey Farms enables the continuation of the various ministries performed by the Monks, as well. Abbey Farms is also almost completely volunteer run! Current Alumni from Marmion High School and parents of current students all come out to help run our festivals for the monks. Having been in the business of creating family traditions for more than 50 years, the monks pride themselves on providing good ol’ fashioned fun for the entire family that won’t break the bank! Abbey Farms is a non-profit farm run by and for the Monks of Marmion Abbey located in Aurora Illinois started back in 1949. Since the first Christmas tree was planted in 1949, Abbey Farms has transformed into a multi season family-oriented farm. Situated on over 300 acres of beautiful farmland, Abbey Farms is one of the oldest farms open to the public in the area. The grounds surrounding the tower are open all year during regular Park District hours, and you are welcome to come out and listen to the carillon at any of the scheduled performances. Throughout the year, a Carillon Ambassador will assist the Carillon's operations and activities by communicating with visitors and giving presentations to groups visiting the Carillon. Carillon Ambassadors will receive special training for this chance. During the open season, tourists can take a guided trip up the 253 steps to the top of the tower and experience the breathtaking view, which includes the Chicago Skyline on a clear day. Those who are unable to ascend the steps should take the elevator to the Gallery Level Observation Deck and stay there. For special requests, call the Naperville Park District at (630) 848-5000. Moser Tower and Millennium Carillon began as a labor of love by a small group of Naperville families in 1998, and the vision quickly spread to many others, who generously donated funds to make the vision a reality. The Millennium Carillon, like Centennial Beach and the Riverwalk, is a gift from the people of our town for future generations to enjoy. The trek to the open-air Observation Deck, which is 14 floors higher and nearly 10 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty, is a physical and mental challenge for those who are afraid of heights.
