Communion Celebrations Communion Events arose from a flood of requests from members of our community who wanted to utilize our space for their birthday parties, dinner parties, graduation parties, and so on. As a result, we immediately built an events program to meet their needs while also allowing our Coworking members to use the space. With this, we can now provide the main Coworking space after 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day on weekends. We're always seeking for new ways to put the space to creative use, and the events have provided us with an opportunity to do so. We host a number of different events, including public, private, and ticketed events. Communion Restaurant offers a variety of exclusive food and bar choices to ensure that each occasion is a turnkey, one-of-a-kind experience. Each quarter, Communion hosts one public event. This includes our annual Crawfest benefit for Capernaum Young Life (Sean Mann) in the spring, our monthly Artisan Market, and Meet the Heroes, when kids dress up as super heroes and meet our local heroes in the police, fire, and EMT departments. A 2000 square foot studio/loft space built in 1897. It is the oldest standing building on the square and once was a meeting spot for the Oddfellows. Our original wood floors and brick walls give a charm to this space that cannot be matched. With the added furniture and decor, it feels like stepping into a giant hug. We are a wellness co-op and event space so our studio is really the best for any event. From a yoga class/workshop to business meeting/luncheon to small wedding/shower event. The Surrey House is a big historic residence that was constructed around 1910. It has withstood a century of tornadoes, fires, and other natural calamities to become one of the most well-known wedding venues in the North Dallas community. A complete renovation of the facility was carried out in 1998, and a partial renovation was carried out in 2011. Just a few blocks south of the old town center and the magnificently renovated county courthouse, you'll find this stunning residence in McKinney's historic area. Behind the main home is a big deck that overlooks the rear yard and a wedding gazebo that was expressly created for the occasion. Brides and bridesmaids can get ready for their special moments in the bridal cottage, which is located at the southern end of the backyard on the south side. It is possible to host events of up to 150 people in the Surrey House and its surrounding grounds. If an event, such as a reception, is to be held solely within the Surrey House, the maximum number of attendees is 100 people. Indoor seated weddings are limited to a maximum of 100 people. The ranch was purchased in 2014, and the owners first totally restored the white ranch home before building the three-story barn in 2015. The RoseMary Barn was then renovated from a dilapidated 1970s pole barn at the property's back to the lovely white venue it is today. The RoseMary Barn takes its name from the proprietor's mother. The RoseMary Barn is a stunning all-white event and wedding location located about 5 miles from Historic Downtown Mckinney and hotels. White shiplap is used to build the inside walls and ceilings. The venue features a large bridal suite with h/m stations, cable tv+mini fridge, a masculine grooms cabin with cable tv/hook ups for a gaming center+mini fridge, a large outdoor ceremony space shaded by mature trees, a large covered porch for cocktail hour, a bar kitchen for the bartenders, a large catering prep kitchen, and a 40x32 covered pavilion that can be used for a wedding reception. We have a generator in case of power shortages, and we are Uber-friendly, allowing cars to stay overnight if Uber service is required. For our booked wedding groups and/or families, we have on-site over night accommodations in addition to the venue. This two-story barndominium has a cool modern feel to it. It includes a white shiplap kitchen with open cabinetry, gold lights, and a beautiful modern farmhouse vibe. It features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living areas. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds. The master bedroom has a king bed with a private bath, bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds.
