Chef David Stein, who was born and raised on Maryland's Eastern Shore, is a graduate of the Baltimore International Culinary College in Baltimore. Chef Stein worked as an executive sous chef at the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, Maryland, for four years before starting his own business. For the next 16 years, he worked as both the owner and executive chef of Bistro St. Michaels in New York City. Living and cooking on the water has shaped his cooking style, which emphasizes the freshness of his ingredients.
