First Parish in Framingham Unitarian Universalist is a historic religious community and event venue situated next to Framingham Common in Framingham, Massachusetts. Established in 1700 as the Church of Christ in Framingham, the congregation has gathered on this site for over three centuries, making it one of the oldest continuously active communities in the region. The Meetinghouse, built in 1926, is described on the venue's rental page as "a beautiful, historic building" and offers a classically designed New England sanctuary with white wooden pews, columns, arched ceilings, and a red-carpeted aisle. The space accommodates up to 200 guests and is available for weddings, memorial services, and lecture series. Needham Golf Club is a private, member-owned club incorporated in 1923 and set on nearly 50 acres of town land in Needham, Massachusetts. The course was designed by Wayne Stiles — a disciple of Donald Ross — and first opened for play in 1901. The current clubhouse, completed in 2011, offers a comfortable setting with a grill room and a covered deck overlooking the first and ninth holes. The club's Function Room accommodates up to 150 guests for events ranging from weddings and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs to corporate retreats and milestone celebrations, with a dance floor available for events that call for it. Founded in 1897 as a fox hunting organization, the club traces its roots to the Providence County Hunt of the 1870s and has occupied its current clubhouse site, a former farmhouse, since that era. In 2018, New Agawam, LLC acquired the property and partnered with The Nature Conservancy to permanently protect eleven of the club's interior golf course holes from development. Built for textile magnate and Rhode Island Governor Henry Lippitt, the house features an elaborate dining room ceiling and other high-style Victorian details throughout its first-floor rooms. Beyond its museum tours, the mansion is available for rental for parties, photography and film, and corporate or non-profit meetings, with grounds that include an operational 1873 fountain.
