Nothing about her off-white board and batten siding, black-framed windows, and dark metal roof screams "rustic." Its interior is spacious, with high ceilings, exposed beams, thoughtful lighting choices, and one wall that is completely covered in windows, allowing the outdoors to come inside with you. Timber Hill Farm is a family-operated farm-to-table wedding and event venue in Gilford, New Hampshire, in the heart of the Lakes Region. The farm has been in agricultural production for nearly 250 years, with the Howe family stewarding the land for two generations. Andy Howe established the Beans & Greens Farm Stand on the property in 1989, and in 2015, his son Isaac and wife Jennifer launched the farm's weddings and events program centered around the newly completed Howe Barn. The Howe Barn is a timber-framed structure built from white pine harvested and milled on-site, featuring an open-concept hammer-beam design with no interior posts. It accommodates up to 180 guests and opens to panoramic views of Lake Winnipesaukee and New Hampshire's Presidential Range. The venue hosts one event per week, ensuring each gathering has dedicated access to the property for setup, the event, and breakdown. Farm-to-table catering draws on seasonal meat and produce grown on-site through Forsyth Family Farm. A curated collection of rustic décor — The Wedding Pantry — is available for couples to borrow. The Snowy Owl Inn is an 80-room, all-season hotel set in Waterville Valley, within New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest. At the center of the event experience is The Shovel Handle Pub — a restored 1842 post-and-beam barn spanning three open levels with original timber architecture, a stone fireplace, and twinkle lighting throughout. The bar level doubles as a dance floor with two full-time bartenders on staff, and the space accommodates up to 140 guests for receptions. Three outdoor ceremony sites are available on the grounds: the Front Lawn with a white birch arbor and brick patio for up to 250 guests; the Hillside site with panoramic White Mountain views for up to 120; and the Woodland setting, where guests cross a wooden footbridge over a stream and follow a 200-foot bridal path through birch trees to an old stone hearth, with seating for up to 150. The property has been farmed continuously since 1784 — one of the earliest homestead farms in the region — and includes a structure built in 1789 that still stands on its original foundation. In 2015, Isaac and Jennifer Howe transformed the working farm into an event venue; the Forsyth Family Farm now manages farming operations through a conservation partnership with Land for Good. At the heart of the property is the Howe Barn, a timber-framed structure built from scratch using mature white pine harvested from the farm's own forests, then milled, fitted, and raised on site by Andy and Isaac Howe alongside master timber framer Trevor Kupetz. The open-concept barn accommodates up to 180 guests and offers sweeping views of Lake Winnipesaukee and New Hampshire's Presidential Range. Timber Hill Farm hosts one event per week, giving each gathering the full attention of the property. Parsonsfield Seminary is a historic campus on eight acres in North Parsonsfield, Maine, operated by the Friends of the Parsonsfield Seminary, a non-profit, non-sectarian organization dedicated to preserving and maintaining the property. The complex of four Victorian buildings is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, having first opened in 1832 as the first Free Will Baptist school in the United States.
