Ari brings his catering and culinary experience to The Elan, bringing a fresh and innovative perspective to the table. When he was a student at the Berklee School of Music, he began working in the food and events sector, and eventually went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, the nation's premier culinary school. In the years after graduating from culinary school, he has honed his abilities by working under some of the world's most celebrated chefs, including Steven Starr (Buddakhan) and Rocco D'Spirito (Union Pacific). Ari's most recent position was as General Manager of Sterling Affair, a high-end New York City off-premise catering firm that counts among its clientele members of the Rockefeller family as well as Columbia and Fordham Universities. There, he honed his management and event planning abilities even further, bringing his distinct flair and exceptional service to each and every event he planned and managed while also gaining valuable experience. From event conception to execution, he supplied customers with his excellent attention to detail and committed personal service, ensuring that every element, from the cuisine to the décor and personnel, was completed to the highest standard. Garden Vista Ballroom is a historic banquet facility in Passaic, New Jersey, originally built in 1922 as the home of the Passaic Elks Lodge. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, the building was fully restored and reopened as an event venue in 2009, preserving its original architectural details — including a marble lobby, crystal chandeliers, gold leaf trim, soaring vaulted ceilings, and two grand staircases with original decorative gold railings. The main hall accommodates up to 170 guests and features a configurable dance floor and a baby grand piano. Garden Vista Ballroom hosts weddings, quinceañeras, sweet 16s, birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, nonprofit galas, and private celebrations of all kinds. All-inclusive packages, plated dinner service, and outside caterers — including those specializing in kosher, halal, or other cuisines — are all accommodated to suit a range of event styles and dietary needs.
